One gamer has created a brutally honest critics trailer for Fallout 76 and it’s a hilarious and somewhat painful look at the response to the game. Bethesda’s latest installment in the Fallout franchise went for a new approach, becoming the first MMORPG in the series. But it appears the studio was premature in releasing the game with both fans and critics eviscerating the whole experience. So one player has decided to show what it would look like if a trailer was a little more truthful about the game.

Critics got their first look at the game shortly before fans did in the B.E.T.A. and were not impressed by what they saw. Early reviews found the graphics underwhelming, criticized the AI and combat, and stated the game felt lonely. Yet there was hope that Bethesda could improve the game before launch. Sadly, this has so far not been the case. Despite the massive day one patch, Fallout 76 has continued to have a host of problems, leading fans bomb Metacritic with negative reviews and leaving the game with a score of 50.

Inspired by the negative response, Ghost Machine uploaded a “Critics Are Bored” trailer to YouTube. The video features Fallout 76’s weirdly cheerful live-action trailer. But Ghost Machine added in some of the more brutal reviews by critics discussing how empty and faulty the game is.

The list of complaints from fans is equally long, with players pointing out the issue with the C.A.M.P. base-building and remarking they too find the game empty, especially without NPCs to interact with. Thanks to the numerous glitches and bugs players have found, there is now a video showcasing some of the most insane ones. Recently a team of players learned that Fallout 76 is not ready for the full power of their new nukes when the players launched three at once and crashed the servers. Funny enough, the live-action trailer ends with a triple nuke strike.

Fans, especially those who’ve been faithfully playing the series since the 1990s, remain disappointed in Fallout’s latest installment. It’s clear that Fallout 76 wasn’t ready for release. There’s a chance for Bethesda to improve the game. But as for how fast and how well those fixes are made, players will have to wait and see, if they choose to wait at all. Unfortunately for Bethesda and players, Fallout 76 appears to be a dud in an otherwise successful franchise. But at least gamers have gotten some funny content out of it.
