New Spider-Man fan art imagines a live-action Spider-Verse movie with Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland. The most recent version of Spider-Man is Holland’s, who first appeared in Captain America: Civil War after Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures struck a deal. The character has appeared in several Marvel movies since then, most recently Spider-Man: Far From Home, which is currently in theaters.

Before Holland suited up as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, there were several other actors to portray the character, dating all the way back to the ’70s. The two most recent Spider-Man actors before Holland were Maguire and Garfield. Maguire played Peter Parker in all three of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man films, while Garfield played the character in Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Many people believe that Holland is the perfect Spider-Man, but that doesn’t mean Maguire and Garfield’s time as the character is any less memorable. Now with the idea of a multiverse being introduced in Far From Home and 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse showing how a movie can include multiple Spider-People, fans are imagining a film that could include all three actors.

Several pieces of fan art have surfaced recently of a live-action Spider-Verse movie that includes Maguire, Garfield, and Holland. The first piece of fan art from spdrmnkyxxiii shows the three actors together while also showing a picture of Quentin Beck, a news headline showing that the Spider-Man from the PS4 game has died, and a Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse poster. Likewise, the second piece of artwork by awedope.arts shows the three Spider-Man actors coming through inter-dimensional portals as seen in Avengers: Endgame. Check out the artwork for yourself below:

All of this fan artwork comes on the heels of a multiverse being mentioned in Far From Home, but also after last year’s Into the Spider-Verse saw multiple Spider-Mans teaming up from different universes. In fact, Into the Spider-Verse almost included a cameo from Maguire, Garfield, and Holland, but sadly for fans, the idea was scrapped. While Sony has agreed to let Spider-Man be apart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, getting Maguire and Garfield back would be more of a challenge.

Both actors have moved on from the role that once launched them into the spotlight. Maguire hasn’t appeared in anything in the past two years, while Garfield has moved on to Oscar-nominated films such as Hacksaw Ridge and Silence. Sony also ended both of their Spider-Man series rather abruptly, with the company scrapping Raimi’s Spider-Man 4 and canceling plans for a Sinister Six storyline in The Amazing Spider-Man series. So while having all three actors in a Spider-Man film would be a dream come true, it seems rather unlikely as of right now.
