Cameron Romero - son of late zombie master George Romero - has announced that he’s making a prequel to Night of the Living Dead. The younger Romero has been working on getting the project made since back in 2014, which saw him raise $30,000 via a crowdfunding campaign. The prequel was originally titled simply Origins, but has now been renamed Rise of the Living Dead. One of the most influential horror directors of all time, George Romero passed away in July, at the age of 77....

Glass is the third and final installment in M. Night Shyamalan’s Eastrail 177 trilogy, but it’s the movie’s first twist that actually completes Unbreakable’s story arc. Shyamalan became a household name for his early films, particularly The Sixth Sense, but it was Unbreakable that earned him a certain repertoire among comic book readers and superhero movie fans alike. Gurman says users can expect “new entry-level and Pro models and a complete redesign” for the iPhone 14 as “the minor changes this year also mean that Apple’s engineers were working behind the scenes on bigger things that will take more time.” This is not the first time we hear that Apple will introduce a complete redesign for the iPhone 14 line....

Nickelodeon’s classic game show Double Dare is back, and it has some slimy new features to reveal in the obstacle course. The iconic kid-centric program originally aired from 1986-1993 with Marc Summers as the host, and he will be back as well - but as a color commentator. YouTube star Liza Koshy, who boasts 15 million subscribers, will serve as the new host of the trivia/physical challenge portion of the show, while Summers will step in and deliver his classic commentary while contestants run through the show’s famously messy obstacle course....

Stellan Skarsgård is playing the villain in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune movie. Of the many landmark sci-fi novels of the 20th century, Frank Herbert’s 1965 work Dune is both one of the more influential and one that’s proven difficult to adapt. David Lynch attempted the task in 1984, but the resulting movie was a box office bomb that Lynch has distanced himself from over the years since. Dune was later adapted as a TV miniseries for Syfy (then, the Sci-Fi Channel) in the 2000s and the resulting three-part adaptation was generally applauded for its ambition, but - for many Herbert supporters - still left something to be desired....

Actresses Denise Gough and Sheila Atim are reportedly in talks to join the cast of HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel series The Long Night. Casting for the new series began in October with Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse cast in major roles. The Long Night was conceived by George R. R. Martin and Jane Goldman as one of five prequels considered by HBO to serve as the next installment in the Game of Thrones franchise, which is ending after its eight season in 2019....

Apple shared its latest Shot on iPhone 13 video yesterday, made by Michel Gondry called “A Dozen Eggs.” Now Apple has released a behind-the-scenes look at how Gondry created the unique film. A Dozen Eggs is a one-minute short video that starts out on a simple carton of eggs then takes viewers through a fun and humorous experience of the eggs doing all sorts of things like breaking a pan, flying in space, teleporting through a desk, and more....

Sony’s God of War is all anyone is talking about right now, but the game’s developer has revealed that fans nearly missed out on the opportunity to play as one of its most important characters - Atreus. Serving as both a sequel to 2010’s God of War III and a reboot of the mythological franchise, God of War sees Kratos ditch his Blades of Chaos and set sail for the snowy shores of Scandinavia....

Gotham’s future Batman, David Mazouz, has some words for Titans’ Robin, especially after the latter spouted the words “F*** Batman” in the first Titans TV show trailer. In the trailer for Titans, DC introduced a world much darker than what many fans expected.
