Season 27 of Top Gear continues in an exclusive new clip that shows hosts Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff, and Chris Harris racing electric cars, with McGuinness’s gaudy Nissan Leaf taking a surprising lead. The new season of the long-running car series began last week in the US, introducing McGuinness and Flintoff as two new hosts in the show’s seemingly ever-changing roster of presenters since the departures of Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond....

The apocalypse is a nasty place where it’s kill or be killed. That’s basically been the ethos of Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead franchise, and it’s certainly been a big part of how its television spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead, has conducted itself over the past four seasons. That idea began to shift a bit, though, in the latter part of season 4, with the series now under the guidance of new co-showrunners Ian Goldberg and Andrew Chambliss....

In June of 2019, Apple announced that chief design officer Jony Ive would be departing the company to form his own independent design firm called LoveFrom. Since then, details about Ive and LoveFrom have been sparse, aside from a multi-year Airbnb partnership announced last year. Today, however, Ferrari and Exor (the holding company that controls Ferrari) have announced a multi-year partnership with LoveFrom to “explore projects in the luxury business.”...

X-Men: First Class screenwriter Zack Stentz has revealed that in 2011 he worked on a script for a massive Marvel team-up movie at 20th Century Fox. According to Stentz, the movie would have included all of the Marvel characters that Fox owned at the time - not only the X-Men, but also Daredevil, the Fantastic Four, and even Deadpool. Of course, the future of those characters is now in the hands of Marvel Studios, as parent company Disney recently acquired 20th Century Fox and all of its film properties....

One of the best shows on television isn’t going anywhere, as FX renews Atlanta for a third season. The series’ second season — titled Atlanta Robbin’ Season — recently came to a close, with critics handing down effusive praise for the show’s endlessly inventive, often surreal storytelling, as well as its direction by Hiro Murai, Amy Seimetz, and series creator and star, Donald Glover. With that kind of praise, plus Glover’s popularity stemming from his work as Childish Gambino and his appearance as Lando Calrissian in this summer’s Solo: A Star Story, it’s really no surprise that FX would want to another season of Atlanta....

The Dark Knight and the Man of Steel are gearing up to face off in their first cinematic co-appearance ever, in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. James Gunn broke into the Marvel machine in 2012 when it was announced that he would be the man responsible for bringing Guardians of the Galaxy to life. Based around the lesser known comic characters of Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot, the project once thought to be a risk has now become one of Marvel Studios’ most popular franchises. Gunn is largely responsible for crafting a simple but touching story that featured great jokes, lots of action, and an incredible soundtrack....

Doctor Who will soon be returning to our screens with its annual festive outing on Christmas Day, before season 10 airs in spring of 2017. With Peter Capaldi returning as the Doctor, season 10 will also introduce Pearl Mackie as Bill, the Doctor’s new assistant. The tenth season will also be the last for Steven Moffat, who will step down as showrunner after the 2017 Christmas special. With a new showrunner arriving in the form of Doctor Who writer Chris Chibnall, talk had turned to whether Capaldi will stay on for season 11, which will arrive sometime in 2018....

James Cromwell has joined the cast of EPIX’s spy drama Berlin Station, and in an exclusive clip, Ester Krug (Mina Tander) questions whether or not he’s really out of the game. 2018 has been a very good year on television for those who like a little spycraft with their drama. English actress Emilia Clarke portrayed the role of Daenerys Targaryen for all eight seasons of Game of Thrones, but she wasn’t the first person cast in the part. Fellow English actress Tamzin Merchant was originally cast to play the Mother of Dragons for the HBO series based on the books by George R.R. Martin. Merchant, who perfectly embodied the natural silver-haired queen, only ended up appearing in Game of Thrones’ unaired pilot before her role was recast, leading the way for Clarke to flourish as Daenerys....

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has filmed his last Game of Thrones scene as Jaime Lannister but he’s not quite done with the series. The premiere for the final Game of Thrones episodes is still a way off. Game of Thrones season 8 will premiere in 2019, with the final six episodes set to arrive at an unknown point next year. While early summer has typically been the premiere date for Game of Thrones, that may not be the case with season 8....

The socially conscious horror thriller Get Out and the coming-of-age romance Call Me by Your Name were the top film winners at the 2018 Writers Guild of America Awards Sunday night in simultaneous ceremonies in New York and Los Angeles. Both strong contenders throughout this movie awards season, Get Out and Call Me by Your Name have often been nominated by critics groups and the likes of the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild, but have often fallen short of converting their nominations into wins....
