A year after announcing podcasts and other audio initiatives literally everywhere on its platform, Facebook is now backing out of the business, according to a report by Bloomberg. Starting June 3, podcasts won’t be available on Zuckerberg’s social media anymore. Bloomberg’s story says that starting this week, Facebook will stop letting people add podcasts to the service. Not only the company is removing its central audio hub, but also the short-form audio product called Soundbites says a note sent to partners....

Although tobacco use has never been particularly prominent in Microsoft’s flagship cover shooter, it was rumored that Gears of War 5 would be removing all references to smoking as a result of anti-tobacco activism. The first-person shooter has changed a lot over the years, and 1990s classics like Quake look extremely different from slower-paced modern franchises such as Call of Duty. With a few notable exceptions, such as the fantastic return of DOOM in 2016, the FPS could feel genuinely sluggish in comparison to its spritely earlier form. Dusk, however, brings back the high speed, reflex-based gameplay of yore. Even better, Dusk does so in style....
One of the most impressive games at E3 2019 is undoubtedly Dying Light 2, which is coming out five years after the first installment. Set in what’s being dubbed a modern dark age, Dying Light 2 gives players control of a character named Aiden Caldwell, who’s not only infected but also tasked with trying to restore water to the city. Techland’s hands-off demo of Dying Light 2 at E3 highlights all three pillars of the series - day/night cycle, parkour, and brutal combat - while also showcasing what’s new for the sequel, particularly the narrative sandbox....
The Sims 4 is getting a load of new content. The latest entry in The Sims franchise came out all the way back in 2014, but as per series tradition there’s been plenty of extra DLC released along the way. China is finally lifting its ban on the first Deadpool movie, more than two years after it became a smash in theaters worldwide. Deadpool, of course, took the movie world by storm when it debuted in theaters domestically in February 2016, steamrolling its way to more than $363 million in ticket sales stateside.
