Gotham star Camren Bicondova says that Gotham’s fifth and final season on FOX will be only 10 episodes in length, contradicting prior reports of 13. Going into broadcast TV’s annual spring round of cancellations, renewals, and pilot pick-ups, the fate of Gotham was seen as very much uncertain. While the Batman prequel was once one of the highest rated dramas on FOX, its viewership has been steadily dropping off as of late, despite the series itself only getting better creatively in the eyes of many fans....

Super Bowl LI will go down in history for the Patriots’ massive comeback, but for film fans it’ll also be remembered for giving us a wide range of awesome trailers. There was a lot to get through, from the first look at Stranger Things Season 2 to exciting expansions of already hyped movies. But which was the biggest hit? Unlike typical trailer releases where the individual views are easy to measure even across various video platforms, it’s nigh-on-impossible to distinguish between the different trailers that air during the big game and figure out which one had the most people watching....

Actress Michelle Gomez thinks that Missy could return to Doctor Who and face Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor. The upcoming 11th season of Doctor Who has had a number of shakeups. A new showrunner, new female Doctor, and new group of companions means that the new season could be totally unexpected and wildly different from anything that came before. Not only have Peter Capaldi and companion actors Pearl Mackie and Matt Lucas left the show but so has Gomez....

Midsommar is the second film by writer-director Ari Aster (Hereditary), but does it feature an after-credits scene? Aster earned rave reviews last year for his feature debut, which told the tale of a family in grief that’s best by a series of increasingly horrifying incidents. Florence Pugh (Fighting with My Family) stars in Midsommar as Dani, a young American woman whose relationship with her boyfriend, Christian (Jack Reynor), has seen better days....

EA Play’s E3 2019 festivities continued with a Battlefield V presentation which introduced a whole raft of content for the community to look forward to, not limited to a bunch of new maps and increases to max player rank. The presentation pulled Lars Gustavsson and Ryan McArthur from DICE on-stage to run through some of the major upcoming changes to the game. It looks like Battlefield V fans can expect a host of new multiplayer maps for infantry-focused gameplay, and the team also announced a bunch of core gameplay updates including the much-anticipated ability to create private games....

Update: Elizabeth Holmes has been sentenced to 135 months (11.25 years) in prison. Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani’s sentencing is set for next month. Former Silicon Valley star (and Steve Jobs wannabe), Elizabeth Holmes, has arrived at a federal courthouse in San Jose to await her sentencing hearing, which could likely be the final chapter in the ongoing saga of Theranos, a sham blood-testing technology company. Holmes, now 38, founded Theranos in 2003, and it quickly took center stage as one of the most promising startups in the world....

Starting with the Thanksgiving frame and extending throughout the winter holiday festivities of December, the end of every year brings with it a parade of exciting movie options for cinema buffs to choose from; including, awards season hopefuls, big-budget franchise movies, and films for the whole family to enjoy together while celebrating the holidays. As Friends progressed and moved onto its later seasons - while still massively successful and beloved - the writing was at the end of a lot of criticism. The Golden Globes kicked off the 2019 awards season last night with what’s become a predictably unpredictable awards show - but some things stood out. Hosts Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg opened the show with an anti-roast routine that fiercely honored the nominees and their work, Bohemian Rhapsody and Green Book shocked critics by taking home the two Best Picture awards, and we got to hear Lady Gaga’s “100 people in a room” story not once, but twice more - and not even from Gaga herself....

With the release of The Girl in the Spider’s Web, there are now five feature films about the goth anti-heroine Lisbeth Salander AKA the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but which one is the best? Created by Stieg Larsson, Salander has been portrayed by three actresses - Noomi Rapace, Rooney Mara, and Claire Foy - in a trilogy of Swedish-produced films and two American adaptations of the late author’s best-selling “Millennium Trilogy” of novels, as well as a continuation novel by David Lagercrantz....

The first image from Jigsaw teases fans with one of the title character’s latest terrifying games. In its time atop the horror genre during the 2000s, the Saw franchise was known for several things, Jigsaw’s “I want to play a game” catchphrase and creepy tricycle-riding puppet avatar among them. Perhaps more than anything else, what came to epitomize Saw were the sadistically clever traps that Jigsaw - or one of his apprentices - would place a hapless victim in to see if they were “worthy” of continuing their lives....

A former Apple engineer has pled guilty to stealing trade secrets from the company. In a San Jose federal court, Xiaolang Zhang admitted to the theft of Apple’s Project Titan trade secrets and could face up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine… The United States FBI first changed Zhang with stealing trade secrets back in 2018. At the time, it was reported that Zhang had taken parental leave from Apple and visited China during this time....

Foxconn, one of Apple’s major suppliers, has halted operations in Shenzhen, China, due to a lockdown imposed by the local government following a new COVID-19 outbreak. There, the Taiwanese company has factories responsible for assembling iPhones and other Apple products. As reported by Bloomberg, the lockdown has led Foxconn to suspend operations at two of its campuses in Shenzhen. To reduce the impact of the lockdown, the company has relocated production to other sites that are still operating regularly....
