Filming is temporarily halted on the set of Fast & Furious 9 after an accident involving a crew member resulted in a serious injury. Fast & Furious 9 officially started production in June, with many of the series’ cast returning for the ninth installment of the popular action film franchise. Those stars who have come back for the ride include Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren and Tyrese Gibson....

The Flash dropped a few bombshells regarding Barry’s daughter, Nora West-Allen, in the midseason finale, which calls into question both her motives and her honesty. The Flash season 5 midseason finale also links Nora with the Reverse-Flash, aka Eobard Thawne. Given the show’s track record for shocking twists, it may not be outside the realm of possibility that Nora isn’t Barry’s daughter at all; instead, she could be Eobard’s daughter....

Game of Thrones is officially delving into spinoff territory, with an untitled prequel series. Even though HBO has released details regarding the plot, timeline, and showrunner, speculation still abounds, including the eventual name of the show. Whereas Game of Thrones is concerned with the political goings on of The Known World, the upcoming prequel spinoff will be set thousands of year earlier, focusing on the events that led to everything from the Night’s Watch to the Iron Throne....

As we’ve said before, Hollywood can turn anything into a movie these days - and that includes syndicated comic strips. One of the most popular titles in that realm of media is Garfield (created by cartoonist Jim Davis), which has already received the big screen treatment twice. In 2004, Fox released the live-action/animation hybrid Garfield: The Movie, followed by the sequel Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties two years later. Mary Poppins Returns star Emily Blunt reveals that she would reprise the titular character if her upcoming film were to get a sequel. Mary Poppins Returns is a sequel, not a remake, to the original Disney classic that was released over 50 years ago. The film will star Blunt as Mary Poppins and will be directed by Rob Marshall, who is known for directing other musicals such as Chicago and Into the Woods....

Sylvester Stallone and Dave Bautista reunite in the red band trailer for Escape Plan: The Extractors. The original Escape Plan was a prison escape thriller that hit theaters in 2013, bringing Sly and Arnold Schwarzenegger together for their long awaited solo team-up. Although the pair had previously shared the screen in The Expendables films, this was the first time they’d led a movie all on their own. And while it made for good schlocky fun overall, it was far from the smash success it might’ve been, had it released in the 1980s or ’90s (when both actors were at the peak of their careers as action stars)....

Garry Shandling, the renowned comedian, writer, and actor who created and starred in HBO’s critically lauded The Larry Sanders Show for six seasons, and had numerous roles in films and TV shows, like The Ben Stiller Show, The X-Files, Zoolander, Iron Man 2, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier passed away unexpectedly at the age of 66. Shandling was reportedly in fine health, but according to a spokesperson from the LAPD, a 911 call from his home was placed earlier today with claims of the comedian suffering from a medical emergency....

Spider-Man: Far From Home gets a new IMAX poster that shows off two of Peter Parker’s Spider suits in the film. In addition to being a Homecoming sequel, Far From Home marks the official conclusion to Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie picks up shortly after the events of Avengers: Endgame, when Peter is still grieving Tony Stark’s death and adjusting to life in a world where Thanos’ snap happened five years ago....
