AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead has found itself the target of a lawsuit regarding its season 2 story arc. The network and their apocalyptic franchise are no strangers to lawsuits, with original The Walking Dead developer and former showrunner, Frank Darabont, filing and pursuing a $280 million profit participation action over the last five years. Though the flagship show has recently seen a rapid decline in the ratings, with the companion series never quite achieving the same lofty heights, there is no denying that the franchise remains a juggernaut, especially as far as AMC are concerned, recently renewing the zombie drama for season 9....

Apple is about to hold its next “Far out” special event tomorrow, and the company is expected to introduce a variety of new products. Among them, there’s the entire iPhone 14 lineup, which is supposed to have four different models: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. When it comes to the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max, they’ll share the same screen size, but that’s about it....

That’s no surprise: the company’s modus operandi with new developments is to wait and watch as other companies launch their versions, then aim to leapfrog them with a version that does it right … It’s so far been my assumption that the same will happen with a folding iPhone, but a notable Apple leaker yesterday raised another possibility....

Wonder Woman 1984 star Gal Gadot says the upcoming film is not a sequel to the 2017 original. The newly-titled Worlds of DC finally had their first bona fide critical and commercial smash last summer when Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman earned widespread praise and did very well at the box office. With a $821.8 million worldwide gross, the film is the top-earning installment in the burgeoning franchise. Obviously, a followup was quickly green lit....

Gentler Streak for Apple Watch, an app that wants to bring compassion to your fitness goals, has just been updated to version 2.3. With that, the app is bringing yet another exclusive feature called Go Gentler, which plans to stimulate a healthier attitude toward exercise and fitness by suggesting workouts based on users’ exercises. According to the Gentler Streak press release note, the Go Gentler feature holds samples of optimal daily actions per person by proving various suggestions....

Iconic kaiju Mothra and Rodan may team up with each other in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, according to the latest trailer. Shortly after Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla reboot released in 2014, Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. confirmed plans to expand the film into a new shared universe, later dubbed the MonsterVerse. And then it was announced that the movie’s sequel, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, would include Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah - three of the most iconic kaiju in Toho’s film library....

The Original Solomon In the comics, Solomon Grundy isn’t specifically a Batman villain, but a character who has gone up against multiple heroes over the years (as well as other villains, from time to time). Originally a young boy by the name of Cyrus Gold, Grundy had a horrifying upbringing and terrible life. He was beaten and abused by his drunk father, and abandoned by his mother. His father even went so far as to bury him alive to remind him that he wasn’t ‘worth the dirt over him’....

Halloween easily won the box office this weekend, nearly matching the October all-time record set by Venom just a couple weeks ago. After a relatively slow September, the marketplace got a shot in the arm when the calendar flipped over and Venom and A Star is Born premiered in theaters. Both highly-anticipated films performed well commercially, with the former even rewriting the record books. They’ve held strongly over the early course of their respective runs, but their time at the top of the charts was about to come to an end....

The future is female, at least on the cover of Entertainment Weekly’s Comic-Con preview issue, which features Jodie Whittaker of Doctor Who front and center. Whittaker’s casting and take on the character will also feature prominently at the BBC America Doctor Who panel at SDCC. Whittaker takes over duties as the 13th Doctor on Doctor Who later this fall. She becomes the first woman to land the role, one traditionally and previously held by men....

Dragon Ball Z was blessed with a host of interesting characters and also boasted a compelling science-fiction inspired narrative, but everyone knows that what fans really tuned in for was the epic fight sequences. Featuring some of the most stylish and intense action the world of anime has ever seen, Dragon Ball Z contains a number of bouts that deservedly became instant classics. And while some of these battles were short and sweet, others would take place over a stunning amount of episodes and would feature twists, turns and transformations galore....

DICE’s highly anticipated Star Wars: Battlefront has been on the market for just over two weeks at the time of writing this, giving Star Wars fans a welcome distraction while the wait for The Force Awakens drags on. The launch was hindered by a few marketing missteps, but the game still went on to be the fastest selling Star Wars game of all time. Reviews of Battlefront have been largely mixed, but the consensus seems to be that the game features great design work, but simply lacks enough content for the price of admission....

Consumers and tech giants alike favor a federal privacy law, rather than the piecemeal approach of individual states passing their own laws – and the chair of the Federal Trade Commission says that now is the time to create one. She made her remarks at a global summit hosted by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, where Apple CEO Tim Cook is also set to speak later today. While the two may agree on privacy issues, they are likely to hold very different views on antitrust action …...

Fox has revealed its official merchandise line for the film Alita: Battle Angel. The live-action adaptation of Yukito Kishiro’s manga series has been in the works for several years, with Titanic and Avatar filmmaker James Cameron spearheading the charge. Cameron, who wrote the Alita screenplay with Laeta Kalogridis (Terminator Genisys), originally planned on directing the movie, but ultimately passed it on to Sin City helmsman Robert Rodriguez instead. The film is now set to open in theaters next February....

According to writer/director Tom McLoughlin, Jason Voorhees was originally supposed to make use of an uzi submachine gun in Friday the 13th Part 6. As any horror fan knows, the killer in the original Friday the 13th film was Pamela Voorhees, Jason’s mom. This left the inexplicably alive Jason to carry on the family legacy from Friday the 13th Part 2 onward, and one can’t say he hasn’t done it with gusto....

While fans of the hit HBO show Game of Thrones still have plenty of wait time before the season 8 premiere, the network recently announced they will be releasing a special version of season 1 just in time for the summer. HBO announced today that season one of the epic series will be available in 4K Ultra HD, a must have for every die hard GoT fan. Fans of the series who are waiting to see just how, or if the North will survive now that the Night King has his very own undead dragon, and how awkward it will be when Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen realize they’re actually related, will have to wait a little while longer to see how the final season plays out....

Godzilla: King of the Monsters can make Monarch better than Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D. One of the biggest similarities between the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Legendary’s MonsterVerse is the presence of a government agency with limitless resources overseeing the special beings that exist in their respective universes. In the MCU, the superheroes, villains, gods, and aliens were monitored by S.H.I.E.L.D. while the MonsterVerse’s Titans are tracked by Monarch. Though they appear to be similar on the surface, the two organizations are actually quite different, and that gives the MonsterVerse a chance to improve upon the mistakes Marvel made with S....
