Happy! has been given a full series order on Syfy. On September 1, 2012, Image comics released the first in a four issue series titled Happy! The comics were created by Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson and while the title might have been Happy! the story was anything but. The comics tell the tale of Nick Sax, who used to be a corrupt cop and is now a mafia hit-man. Upon finding himself in quite a precarious situation, Sax id helped by an imaginary blue horse named Happy, as he has one last adventure....

Disney’s The Lion King (2019) is a photoreal CGI remake of the animated classic - but does it have an end-credits scene teasing a sequel? The Lion King is the latest movie from Disney’s animated classics vault to get the live-action treatment, following the likes of Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and The Jungle Book. While each of those films had human characters, though, The Lion King does not, and isn’t technically live-action as a result....

When Dragon Ball was first conceived, creator Akira Toriyama had no intentions of bringing in the idea of Saiyans. It was just a manga inspired by Journey to the West. But, as the story went on, Toriyama kept raising the stakes, and Goku learned of his alien origins as a member of the Saiyan race. By most accounts, Saiyans are said to be the strongest warrior race in all the universe....

While very little is known about the latest attempt to create a film based on Dungeons & Dragons, it appears now that the production will be filming in England. The film also only recently pegged down director Chris McKay - whose only other feature film directing credit was The LEGO Batman Movie from 2017. McKay is also currently tied to the Nightwing movie currently in development. This most recent attempt at adaptation of the classic tabletop RPG Dungeons & Dragons has had a long and winding road since it was first conceived....

Dwayne Johnson shows off the massive practical set constructed for Jungle Cruise in the latest promotional video for the Disneyland ride turned big-budget tentpole. The Rock is currently in the midst of shooting the historical action-adventure, with Emily Blunt serving as his costar and director Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows, The Commuter) calling the shots. Disney has been planning to make a movie based on its classic Jungle Cruise attraction - which was one of the rides that launched on Disneyland’s opening day in 1955 - for more than a decade now....

As Star Wars: Battlefront II still tries to recover from its loot box scandal, one of EA’s biggest names promises that the company has learned from its mistakes and will try harder in the future. Failing to be the big hitter that EA expected it to be, Battlefront II was one of 2017’s most memorable gaming flops. Escape Room is an entertainingly cheesy and surprisingly innovative B-movie, but suffers when it turns its attention to setting up future sequels. Escape Room is the latest horror-thriller from director Adam Robitel and the first since his prequel, Insidious: The Last Key, hit theaters almost exactly a year ago. The Fantastic 4 will finally be coming to the MCU. It has been four years since we last saw Reed Richards, Johnny Storm, Sue Storm, and Ben Grimm on the big screen in an outing that was as forgettable as it was mediocre. With Disney recently acquiring Fox, however, the characters are now set to return with a fresh glow-up, one that Marvel Studios will inevitably give them. We don’t know when yet, but we know it is on the way....

John Cena has been officially cast in the as-yet-untitled Fast & Furious 9. Although his casting was already revealed back in April in a posting on Vin Diesel’s Instagram, now official confirmation has come down that Cena will be a part of the action franchise, with the newest installment set to start filming later this month. The Fast and the Furious franchise began back in 2001, with its first entry of the same name featuring undercover police officer Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) infiltrating a group of street racers led by Dominic Toretto (Diesel) who are suspected of being behind a number of transport truck hijackings....

Fast and Furious spinoff director David Leitch says the upcoming Hobbs and Shaw film will be an ’80s-style buddy movie. After 8 movies and $5.1 billion in worldwide grosses, the Fast and Furious franchise will get a bit of a shakeup. With Fast and Furious 9 not coming until 2020 at the earliest, the next film in the series will be a spinoff featuring Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw, the characters played by Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, respectively....

This often leads to drastically different advertisements being created to suit different cultural trends. Foxconn Q2 earnings were up 20% year-on-year thanks to demand for Apple products and other electronics made by the company. Around half of the company’s revenue comes from Apple … Yahoo! Finance reports. Demand for Apple products was boosted during the pandemic, due to people working and studying from home, and needing more home-based entertainment during lockdowns. IPhone assembler Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. reported a 20% jump in second-quarter revenue as the pandemic continues to drive demand for electronics from Apple Inc....

Ubisoft unveiled something a little different from its more traditional offerings at E3 2019. The company showcased upcoming action-adventure game Gods & Monsters, which comes from the minds behind Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and delivers an eye-catching, gorgeous art style. The game will be released February 25, 2020. Ahead of E3 2019, Ubisoft was unfortunate with a number of leaks. Some of these, such as Watch Dogs Legion, had a huge amount of detail shared about them, whereas others remained relatively secure....

R-rated superhero movies may be the hottest “new” thing in town now that Deadpool is ruling the box office, but there have been plenty of mature comic book adaptations that have paved the way over the years. Among the best known examples is 1994 cult hit The Crow, based on the comics by James O’Barr, which is currently in the process of getting a long-delayed big screen reboot. The Crow director Alex Proyas, whose other credits include Dark City and I, Robot, most recently helmed fantasy epic Gods of Egypt, which arrived in theaters this weekend....
