An unofficial YouTube stream of the Apple event has drawn tens of thousands of viewers ahead of Apple’s actual October ‘Unleashed’ event going live, where the company is set to announce a highly-anticipated new MacBook Pro. However, this fake stream — like a lot of terrible things in 2021 — has converted into a crypto currency scam. The YouTube stream has somehow drawn up to 30,000 concurrent viewers. It helps that the YouTube search algorithm is heavily promoting it, thanks to a title that includes the words ‘REDESIGNED MacBook Pro, NEW AIRPODS, PRO Mac mini’ keyword spam....

Fallout 76 is the latest installment in the long-running Fallout video game franchise from Bethesda Softworks. It’s a prequel set long before all the other chapters in the series and takes place much closer to the Great War that ravaged the planet. It comes three years after Fallout 4 released, and takes the franchise in a new direction as an online multiplayer title with survival elements similar to H1Z1’s Just Survive....

Andy Serkis has revealed that the first trailer for his long-planned The Jungle Book adaptation, Mowgli, is coming very soon. Based on the book by Rudyard Kipling about a boy who grew up in the wild, the live-action film, originally titled Jungle Book: Origins, stars Rohan Chand as Mowgli, Andy Serkis as Baloo, Christian Bale as Bagheera, Benedict Cumberbatch as Shere Khan and Cate Blanchett as Kaa. Mowgli was first announced by Warner Bros....

Released next week, Good Time is a drama-thriller flick from The Safdie Brothers, with Robert Pattinson, Barkhad Abdi and Jennifer Jason Leigh amongst the leading cast. Sorry Harley Quinn fans, it looks like the character will not be appearing on Gotham after all. By its very nature as a Batman prequel, the FOX drama has introduced audiences to evolving versions of multiple notable future foes of the Caped Crusader, including The Riddler, The Penguin, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, and Poison Ivy. Jerome is also likely the future Joker, despite producers’ continuing refusal to confirm that theory as fact....

EA Play gave fans of The Sims 4 a lot to mull over as part of this year’s E3 presentation where the latest expansion, Island Living, was announced, with a release date of July 16. On top of the release of the expansion itself, EA also touched on its new initiative with the It Gets Better Project as part of Pride Month. The Sims 4 has had a number of expansions since release, but this is going to be the first one that ostensibly includes a career geared towards being mindful of the environment....

Hobbs & Shaw is the ninth Fast & Furious movie and first official spinoff of the franchise, but it’s not coming to an end just yet. The film features Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham reprising their roles as Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw, respectively. Even though the series is branching out, the core cast still has a few years worth of adventures to gear up for. The first reviews for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald have arrived, and overall the critics seem to be somewhat underwhelmed by this latest sequel/prequel set in the world of Harry Potter. Directed by David Yates, The Crimes of Grindelwald picks up after the events of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, with magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) tasked by a young Professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) with putting a stop to the rise of dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp)....

In Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindlewald, it’s theoretically possible that Gellert Grindelwald lied to Credence Barebone about being Aurelius Dumbledore. As the latest Fantastic Beasts movie and installment in the Harry Potter franchise, The Crimes of Grindelwald focuses more on the rise of Grindelwald in Europe and teases WWII. While these are obviously world and franchise-building plot points that will be fully realized in future sequels, Fantastic Beasts 2 also provides a number of twists for franchise fans to ponder over for the next two years....

Square Enix’s impressive E3 2019 presentation was highlighted by an extensive look at how one of the most iconic games of all time is given new life on modern platforms. Tim Cook will be featured in a new TV show. The Emmy Award-winner Hank Azaria will play Apple CEO in the Uber series Super Pumped on Showtime. Hank Azaria is known for voicing Moe Szyslak from the animated show The Simpsons and acting in many TV shows and films. He will be performing as Apple CEO Tim Cook, as first reported by Variety. According to the publication, Azaria joins previously announced cast members Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kyle Chandler, and Kerry Bishé....

It’s been a long year for Whovians. Fans of the BBC series Doctor Who have had some serious downs in 2016; from Netflix removing the show from their streaming catalogue, to the announcement that the upcoming 10th season of the classic series would be the last for showrunner Stephen Moffat (Sherlock), to the news that there would be no new season of Doctor Who until the spring of 2017. Whovians are nothing if not loyal, however, and while there are still many months between now and the next season premiere, that doesn’t mean there’s not a lot to look forward to....

Facebook has always been involved in some privacy controversy, since the company explicitly has a business model based on selling user data. However, a new leaked document suggests that things there may be much worse than we ever imagined. The internal document (via Engadget) is a report written by privacy engineers from the Facebook Ad team, and it was sent to the company’s leaders. The engineers detail how Facebook could deal with local regulators asking for new privacy measures to protect user data....
