In a confounding and untenable misstep, Twitch recently unbanned a Fortnite streamer who had previously been banned after he was caught abusing his pregnant wife on stream. Twitch has since re-banned the offending streamer’s account following a media firestorm, but this is only one of many incidents that have revealed the gaping fractures in the major streaming platform’s approach to moderation. Luke Munday, the 26-year-old Australian man who goes by MrDeadMoth on Twitch, was seen assaulting his pregnant wife during a December 9th Fortnite stream....

EW has unveiled their latest San Diego Comic-Con 2018 magazine cover featuring Zachary Levi as the titular character in Shazam! Starring alongside Asher Angel who plays young Billy Batson - the human alter ego of Shazam, Levi is set to debut as the newest DC superhero on the block next year in the forthcoming movie. Directed by Annabelle: Creation helmer David F. Sandberg, the movie promises a more lighthearted and family-friendly tone compared to previously released Warner Bros....

For the 2019 Arrowverse crossover event, Crisis on Infinite Earths, Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) returns alongside Tyler Hoechlin as Superman. Hoechlin first appeared in the Arrowverse in the Supergirl season 2 premiere (which was also the show’s official debut on The CW after airing season 1 on CBS). This may signal the first steps towards The CW attempting to recreate the events of the classic comic book storyline Crisis on Infinite Earths - an event that was foreshadowed in the first episode of the current The Flash television series....

Bethesda’s long-awaited sequel Fallout 76 is now live in all regions, and chances are that players are looking out for a noteworthy and highly recognizable staple of the series: the all-mighty Power Armors. The poll, carried out by Schar School in partnership with the WP, surveyed a random sample of US Internet users. It presented them with nine tech giants, and for each asked whether they trusted them, distrusted them, or had no opinion. A reported Foxconn COVID-19 outbreak in Zhengzhou – known locally as iPhone City – has been confirmed by the company, with some impact on iPhone 14 production. Chris Taylor, a 21-year-old cancer patient, got to live out his dying wish to play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. For Taylor, hearing about the next installment of his favorite video game series filled him with regret rather than joy. Taylor suffered from bone cancer. The progression of the disease left him bedridden and afraid that he wouldn’t live to see the game’s release in December. But when he tweeted about his story the gaming community responded, showing their support and retweeting his initial post over 3,400 times....

Batman has been getting a lot of attention when it comes to the big screen, with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice released this year, a smaller appearance in next month’s villain team-up Suicide Squad, and talk of the upcoming Batman solo film - not to mention the LEGO Batman Movie. Skyscraper sees Dwayne Johnson perform death-defying stunts to save his family, but does it have a post-credits scene setting up a sequel? For the action-adventure film, Johnson re-teams with director Rawson Marshall Thurber, who helmed the actor’s 2016 action-comedy Central Intelligence (and the duo will work together again on Red Notice). Thurber also penned the script for Skyscraper, which follows a man working to save his family who are trapped in a massive burning building....

Denis Villeneuve’s reboot of Dune adds Dave Bautista to its already star-studded cast. Thanks to works like Arrival and Blade Runner 2049, Villeneuve established himself as one of this generation’s finest sci-fi filmmakers. Fortunately for fans of the genre, the director is staying in that wheelhouse for his next project. Villeneuve officially signed on for the latest big-screen adaptation of Dune back in February 2017, but progress on the movie has picked up as of late....

Although it wasn’t her first foray into television, the teenage actress became a household name courtesy of her breakout role as the super-powered Eleven in the Netflix series Stranger Things.
