Three new Apple Watches are coming this year. The rugged model could be branded Pro, as Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman suggested in his latest Power On newsletter. With that in mind, the Cupertino company could also, once again, discontinue the Edition version in favor of this extreme sports option. Most of what Gurman talked about in today’s newsletter he already reported – or other analysts also talked about. He thinks the Pro features of this upcoming Apple Watch will be a larger and more shatter-resistant display, enhanced hiking and swim tracking, longer battery life, and a heftier and rugged case made from a premium, nonaluminum metal material....

How many DC Comics’ characters will be appearing in the Harley Quinn animated series? American audiences eager to see the television adaptation of China Miéville’s The City and the City can take a look at an exclusive clip ahead of the North American premiere. The series premiered earlier this year on the BBC, and will be available in the U.S. via the streaming service BritBox. Actor Daniel Brühl releases two images of himself as Baron Zemo in Marvel Studios’ brief San Diego Comic-Con teaser footage for the upcoming Disney+ TV show The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Brühl originally joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, playing Helmut Zemo, a Colonel in the Sokovian Armed Forces whose family was killed during the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Far Cry 5 is the best game in the series and easily one of the most impressive open-world shooters on the market, even though it’s a very familiar experience. This is coming from someone who wasn’t too impressed with Far Cry 4 after the success and reinvention of the series with Far Cry 3. We won’t even get into Far Cry Primal which I found boring and unworthy of the brand name....

Voice actor Chris Niosi’s dialogue will be removed from Fire Emblem: Three Houses after admitting guilt in allegations of abuse. Fire Emblem: Three Houses was released on July 26th and opened to great reviews. It was developed by Koei Tecmo Games and Intelligent Systems. It is the 16th game in the franchise and the first main Fire Emblem game to be released on the Nintendo Switch. The spin-off Fire Emblem Warriors can also be played on the Switch....

Matthew Perry played the role of Chandler Bing for all ten seasons of Friends, but there were several other major candidates considered for the part. Director Jason Reitman shares a behind-the-scenes photo for Ghostbusters 2020. Based on the 1984 franchise-starter, the new film will pick up on the original storyline that continued with the 1989 sequel. Reitman’s photo includes cast members Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace, along with Reitman’s father, Ivan Reitman, who directed the first two Ghostbusters films. The original Ghostbusters stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Harold Ramis. They portray three purely unique parapsychologists who investigate strange occurrences at Columbia University....

Fan-made Justice League poster by BossLogic features Armie Hammer’s Green Lantern in the style of recent character motion posters. Zack Snyder’s Justice League will unite the heroes of the DC cinematic universe for the first time as Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) bring fellow superheroes Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) together to battle Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds) and his army of Parademons. First released in 1985, The Handmaid’s Tale is a dystopian novel by Margaret Atwood, detailing a time in the near future, when a totalitarian regime has overthrown the government. Women are now forced to live under oppression from their male counterparts, with many of childbearing age having to become handmaids to men in positions of power in order to repopulate the species. The Handmaid’s Tale particularly focuses of Offred, who is ripped from her husband and child, and their comfortable New-England lifestyle, and sent into handmaid service for a man simply known as The Commander....

After what seemed like years of fans demanding to see more female faces in high-profile (and varied) roles in the growing genre of superhero blockbusters, the DC Extended Universe wasted no time. Not only has Wonder Woman shown up to rescue the stars of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, but Harley Quinn is emerging as a fan-favorite in Suicide Squad’s marketing. Apparently, actress Margot Robbie and director David Ayer have made such progress with ’the Joker’s girlfriend’ already, the studio is looking to make her the star of a spinoff film, calling on some of the DC Universe’s best femme fatales (both heroes and villains)....

Tony Fadell, often referred to as the “Father of the iPod,” is releasing a new book next year. The book, entitled Build: An Unorthodox Guide to Making Things Worth Making, could provide some interesting insight into the creation of the iPod and more. Over the years, Fadell has provided a number of interesting inside details on the creation of the iPhone and iPod in various interviews and speeches. In Build, we expect even more stories from Fadell’s time at Apple....
