That said, there are still a few functions and tweaks that users will love when using the music streaming service the new operating system released today. Apple Music on iOS 16 lets users sort playlists. Traditionally, all playlists in the Music app have been sorted by the order in which the songs were added to the playlist: the first songs added at the top and the songs added most recently at the bottom....

Marvel Studios is once again earning accolades for their de-aging technology in Ant-Man & the Wasp. Surprisingly, though, the studio’s best CGI was still years ago - when they created a fake Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man 3, without anyone even noticing it. Over the last few years, Marvel Studios has gained a reputation for cleverly manipulating actors’ faces to look younger, using a combination of make-up and digital trickery....

Production on Fast & Furious 9 is in full swing with franchise star Vin Diesel celebrating the first day of filming with a new video. The ninth main entry in the long-running auto-centric film series, a majority of the main cast are reprising their roles including Diesel as Dominic Toretto. Michelle Rodriguez also returns as Letty Ortiz, as well as Nathalie Emmanuel as hacktivist Ramsey introduced in Furious 7, who was the first person from the cast to reveal that shooting has begun for the project....

Today Filmic Pro version 6.17 is being released with full support for ProRes video for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, making it the first iOS app available with support for capturing ProRes. ProRes video, which is hardware-accelerated by the A15 Bionic chip, is one of the headlining features for the higher-end pro variants of the recently released iPhone 13. Before Apple releases its upcoming iOS update with support for ProRes in the default Camera app, Filmic Pro’s developers have independently added ProRes support to compatible iPhone 13 Pro devices....

Nearly every Final Fantasy game after Final Fantasy 6 contains an odd Star Wars reference, including Final Fantasy 7 Remake. A “Skywalker” here or a “Leia” there wouldn’t be too surprising as little nods from localization teams, but Final Fantasy’s Star Wars references are far more niche, and they have occasionally been important to the games’ plots - especially in Final Fantasy 7 and 8. HBO is gearing up to debut the sixth season of its critically acclaimed fantasy drama and ratings powerhouse Game of Thrones. Based on the book series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Glass star James McAvoy originally didn’t understand that 2017’s psychological horror-thriller, Split, would turn out to be an unexpected sequel to 2000’s superhero drama, Unbreakable. Both films, which were written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, are now part of a shared universe recognized as the Eastrail 177 trilogy, and Glass looks to close the series by uniting the two films. McAvoy’s performance in Split was one of the reasons the film received so much buzz, but the unexpected ending is what really got audiences talking....

Daybreak Games announced this morning that H1Z1 will finally release on PS4, with an open beta coming on May 22, but they currently have no plans to include a first-person mode in the console release. In a market already saturated with battle royale games like PUBG and Fortnite, H1Z1 started off as something that could’ve been totally different. However, some two years after developers announced plans to bring the game to consoles, the PS4 revamp won’t include the draw of first-person gameplay, which could be vital to their success in the console space....

Evan Peters, who plays Quicksilver in the X-Men films, says he “would love” to star in a solo Quicksilver movie. Peters has portrayed the mutant speedster in two X-Men movies, and will reprise the role in Dark Phoenix. Peters also had a cameo as the character in Deadpool 2. The actor made his debut as Quicksilver in 2011’s X-Men: Days of Future Past wherein his character is recruited by a time-traveling Wolverine on a mission to change history and defeat the Sentinels....

Audiences around the world have now been given the chance to once again immerse themselves into the Wizarding World, but instead of following Harry Potter through a ninth movie installment, this time around a mainly new cast of characters were put front and center. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them took this universe back to the 1920’s as Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) travels to the United States to further his study of magical creatures....

Channing Tatum was originally slated to make his big screen debut as the Ragin’ Cajun, Gambit in 2016, but the X-Men spinoff film has since been delayed to sometime in 2017 after going through a change in director. The project is now being overseen by Doug Liman as the helm, while producer Simon Kinberg - who penned X-Men: Days of Future Past as well as its upcoming sequel, Apocalypse - oversees script revisions with Tatum, Tatum’s producing partner Reid Carolin, and screenwriter Joshua Zetumer (RoboCop (2014))....
