Just over three months after the conclusion of the trial, Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers has handed down her ruling in the Apple vs. Epic Games case. Judge Rogers has issued a permanent injunction saying that Apple can no longer forbid developers from directing users to third-party payment options. The ruling from Judge Rogers comes after Apple has already announced a handful of App Store changes over the past week, including allowing developers of “Reader” applications to link out to a website for account management....

Warner Bros. revealed their upcoming DCEU slate at SDCC 2017 - consisting of David F. Sandberg’s Shazam!, Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 2, Gavin O’Connor’s Suicide Squad 2, Matt Reeves’ The Batman, Joss Whedon’s Batgirl, Flashpoint, Green Lantern Corps, and Justice League Dark, aside from James Wan’s Aquaman, which has already completed filming - and that slate remained the same when they presented at CCXP 2017. While that’s plenty of movies to keep the studio busy over the next few years, there are a dozen other DC movies in development with the studio that are not on that official slate of movies....

The long-awaited MMORPG is scheduled for release on November 14, though it had been previously announced that some players would be allowed to beta-test the game before then. Paul McCartney has revealed his character for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Early reactions to the fifth installment in Disney’s popular Pirates franchise have been widely positive, with Dead Men Tell No Tales serving as a reboot of sorts; returning the franchise to its ghostly roots with a story that focuses on an undead captain trying to rid the seas of all pirates. Speaking to fans, Justice League Zack Snyder director has confirmed that Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash was originally supposed to get a second suit - one built using Bruce Wayne’s technology. Released late last year, the movie saw Batman recruiting superheroes for the Justice League in order to stop the impending threat of Steppenwolf, who plans to use all three Mother Boxes to terraform Earth. Justice League introduced Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, a technological whiz-kid imbued with super-speed after being doused in chemicals and struck by lightning....

For much of the first season of Game of Thrones, the plot revolved around Ned Stark. The patriarch of House Stark shared his journey from Winterfell to Queen’s Landing after King Robert Baratheon requested that he take the role of the king’s hand. While Ned’s lifespan on the show was rather short, the importance of House Stark has remained prominent up until the final season. Dragon Ball Z ended back in 1996, and in the years since, the franchise hasn’t put out anything to rival its most successful series. Hasbro has revealed the newest entries in its Transformers: Generations line - three powerful female Autobot warriors, Elita-1, Novastar, and Moonracer. The heroines will play into the multimedia Power of the Primes story arc, the conclusion of the Generations Prime Wars trilogy that began with Combiner Wars and Titans Return. Fittingly for the fan-oriented Generations line, all three characters have their roots near the very beginning of the Transformers mythos. Elita-1 first appeared as the leader of an Autobot resistance cell on Cybertron in the Generation 1 episode “The Search For Alpha Trion,” with Novastar and Moonracer serving as two of her lieutenants....

Facebook is announcing today its first-generation smart glasses in partnership with Ray-Ban. Ray-Ban Stories, as the name suggests, is a “new way to capture photos and video, share your adventures, and listen to music or take phone calls.” A built-in partnership with Facebook and EssilorLuxottica, Ray-Ban Stories start at $299 USD. Fandango has announced early access screenings for How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, the third and final installment in DreamWorks’ animated franchise. The How to Train Your Dragon movies are based on Cressida Cowell’s fantasy books and follow the adventures of a young viking named Hiccup (voiced by Jay Baruchel) and his pet dragon Toothless. After the success of the first movie, DreamWorks announced plans for two more sequels and produced a tie-in TV series titled DreamWorks Dragons....
