You have to hand it to Everything Sucks!, Netflix’s new 90s-set coming-of-age dramedy from creators Ben York Jones and Michael Mohan: it is unafraid to be completely rapt with its sense of nostalgia. With its obvious musical cues featuring everything from Spacehog to Oasis, its bottles of Frutopia, baggy flannel shirts, and copious VHS tapes all displayed prominently, the series unabashedly enters into the crowded streaming arena with what it presumes is its best foot forward....
Like a number of his cult classic films, John Carpenter’s Big Trouble in Little China is more appreciated today than it was when it released. In 1986, the film was panned by critics and was an overwhelming box office failure. Fortunately, its particular brand of self-aware humor, combined with distinct design choices have helped the Kurt Russell-led action/adventure to find a new life in retrospect. It now stands at a solid 82% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is finally understood for what it is - a lovingly pulpy reinterpretation of classic Kung Fu B-movies....

One fan-made video makes a point about digitally de-aging Ben Affleck to play a young Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Debuting the DCEU’s iteration of the Caped Crusader in 2016’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Affleck was originally attached to star and direct in a Batman standalone movie.
