On Game of Thrones, there is arguably no character who desires and deserves redemption more than Theon Greyjoy. With the return of Game of Thrones on Sunday, the penultimate chapter of the hit HBO series has begun. As one of the last 13 episodes of the show and the premiere of season 7, ‘Dragonstone’ had the unenviable task of setting up the beginning of the end for one of the world’s most popular television series. But while a good deal of the episode’s extra large running time was devoted to planting the seeds for the rest of the season and series, the slower pace also allowed the leaner ensemble to shine in ways their characters rarely have in the past few years....

The new Godzilla: King of the Monsters trailer unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con revealed a major name change for the massive creatures of the MonsterVerse. Director Michael Dougherty’s sequel to the 2014 blockbuster promises even more giant beasts for the giant lizard to fight. However, the new film also officially rebrands all of the monsters with a new designation. 2014’s Godzilla not only introduced a new MonsterVerse mythology, it revealed that all of the monsters have been tracked for decades by a clandestine organization called Monarch....

Michael Cerveris will reunite with FOX this fall to tackle the role of the villainous Professor Pyg in the upcoming fourth season of Gotham. While most of the main villains on Gotham are big names from the comics that have been adapted multiple times, the show has also allowed for lesser-known foes to arrive and vex the GCPD. Throughout the three seasons of the show so far, rogues great and small have emerged in Gotham City, with fewer and fewer heroes to check their advances....

The biggest video game series on the planet is Call of Duty, a series which has proven to be the definitive gaming franchise of the past decade. The series made its debut way back in 2003, but it shows no sign of slowing down, with millions of players still playing 2015’s Black Ops 3, and a bold new entry on the horizon. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is scheduled for a November 2016 release, and looks to shake up the formula by bringing the action to colonies in outer space....

The director and cast of the upcoming Transformers spinoff movie Bumblebee respond to our theory that connects G.I. Joe to the Transformers universe. Bumblebee is the first Transformers spinoff, and centers around Bumblebee and his human friend named Charlie Watson (Hailee Steinfeld). The film will stand as the sixth overall film in the Transformers film series, while also being a prequel to the other films as it takes place in the 1980s....

There’s new fan art of Tommy Wiseau as the Joker now that he’s expressed interest in playing the legendary DC villain for Todd Phillips upcoming Joker origin movie. Wiseau has been enjoying a career renaissance ever since actor-director James Franco released The Disaster Artist in theaters nationwide, a comedic recreation of the Hollywood cult figure’s making of The Room. Even though the film had earned the dishonorable distinction of being “The Citizen Kane of Bad Movies,” it also went onto become a midnight-movie favorite worldwide, earning Wiseau the fame he so desperately craved, albeit in a different way than he imagined....

Can you believe it’s been thirty years since the first Metal Gear game came out? In 1987, Hideo Kojima released Metal Gear for the MSX home computer system. The franchise exploded in popularity; Eventually it was imported to America as a NES game of the same name and received a sequel entitled Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. The most revolutionary game of the series, however, came in the form of 1998’s Metal Gear Solid....

Verizon is offering both new and existing customers free Netflix for a year – if they sign up to another streaming service too. The offer is intended to promote Verizon +play, a service that lets customers manage all their streaming subscriptions in one place … The WSJ reports. As the piece notes, Verizon is one of a number of companies trying to insert itself as a middleman between streaming services and customers....

Now that we’ll be starting 2019, it will be a full 25 years since Friends began in 1994. Although the show ended in 2004 after a ten-year run, it still feels brand new because of its amazing replay value. The show has always remained relatable, with no advancements in technology denting its image. We’re confident enough in claiming that Friends will never become outdated and its popularity will remain endless....

What Would The Night King Have Done Without The Dragon? As the Night King uses the dragon he got just over an hour of TV time before to bring down the Wall, are we to assume he had no other way through? The fact he’s been traipsing around just north of the Wall for years (Hardhome isn’t relatively that far out from Eastwatch) would definitely suggest his advancement was being halted....

One Game of Thrones fan has noticed an odd similarity between the popular HBO show and the film Shrek. Game of Thrones has been on the air since 2011, and focuses on groups fighting for control over the land of Westeros and more importantly, the Iron Throne. Shrek on the other hand, was a 2001 animation fairytale from Dreamworks about an ogre and a donkey. Initially, the family-friendly Shrek movies and the gritty HBO drama seem vastly different, but they both have one thing in common - dragons....

The official Game of Thrones script sheds light on several contested details from the show’s seventh season, including Tyrion’s (Peter Dinklage) real feelings for Daenerys (Emilia Clarke). In many ways, that struggle has taken on a life of its own, as while television fans eagerly await the final season of HBO’s Game of Thrones, after enduring a lengthy delay (in television time, anyway) from season 7 to season 8, those who’ve been loyal readers of Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novels have TV watchers beat by several years....

The new Godzilla: King of the Monsters trailer debuted at CCXP, and a description of the footage is now online. The sequel is the third film in Legendary’s MonsterVerse. The first trailer was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year, and generated huge buzz for the monster-filled blockbuster. King of the Monsters will continue to move the MonsterVerse forward, after it began in 2014 with director Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla. This sequel once again brings the giant lizard to the forefront, but it’ll feature a variety of other creatures that Godzilla will attempt to either defeat or make allies out of....
