There’s always been a rough power dynamic between the two families that was only enhanced when Stark patriarch, Ned, saw his best friend married into the family from Casterly Rock. Both families stand out far beyond the power they wield over the continent in Game of Thrones. In one way they are very similar, both cherishing family loyalty above almost anything else, but which family would be the most fun or the most beneficial to be loyal to?...

At this point, it’s a bit hard to remember that prior to the release of Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy, many wondered whether it might be the MCU entry that finally broke the franchise’s ongoing streak of massive success at the box office. After all, the titular heroes were far from household names, and two of them were a talking racoon and a sentient tree. Of course, that was far from the case, with Guardians earning a massive $773 million worldwide on a budget of only $170 million....

Writer/director James Gunn returns with the new adventure that will “unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage.” With filming currently underway, Gunn and the cast have been dropping a few hints and photos to build buzz for the sequel....

The Benedict Cumberbatch-starring Doctor Strange is the first Marvel Cinematic Universe movie to arrive after Captain America: Civil War, as well as the MCU’s first major foray into the mystic arts. Doctor Strange has been anticipated by MCU fans for that reason, with box office analysts projecting an opening weekend of $65-70 million for the film. Mortal Engines brings Philip Reeve’s post-apocalyptic book series to the big screen - but does it include an after-credits scene? Peter Jackson bought the rights to Reeve’s novel back in 2009 and originally planned to direct the film adaptation himself. Of course, that was before Guillermo del Toro left The Hobbit adaptation and Jackson took his place at the helm. Three movies and several years of work later, Jackson was left needing a break from the world of big-budget filmmaking....

A new trailer has arrived for the live-action Dora the Explorer movie, Dora and the Lost City of Gold. Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer cartoon series ran for eight seasons overall (stretched out from 2000 to 2014) and followed Dora, a young Latina girl, and her monkey Boots as they tackled various puzzles and riddles on their travels (with some “help” from their audience). In the live-action iteration, Dora is now a teenager who’s headed off to high school after having spent her entire childhood exploring jungles with her parents....

In the wake of Disney’s acquisition of Lucasarts, EA Games performed quite the coup when they managed to acquire exclusive rights to produce games based on the Star Wars franchise. So far, Star Wars: Battlefront is the only game to come from this deal, though EA subsidiary Bioware had already made a name for itself with its Knights of the Old Republic series and their subsequent, still-running MMO based on the universe, The Old Republic....

Avengers 4 is on its way in just a couple of months and the title has finally been revealed to be Avengers: Endgame. This is incredibly appropriate as the film has been promised to bring an end to the story that began in the original Iron Man and the characters first established in that classic Phase One Avengers lineup. It’s also important to note that the title itself was spoken by Doctor Strange in Infinity War, when he ominously predicted: “We’re in the endgame now....

Ben Stiller is certainly no stranger to working television. He won an Emmy in 1993 for the short-lived sketch comedy series, The Ben Stiller Show. And he’s certainly no stranger to the director’s chair either, having helmed such films as Reality Bites, The Cable Guy, Zoolander, Tropic Thunder, and more. But Showtime’s new limited series, Escape at Dannemora, is a bit of a departure for the filmmaker. A fictionalized account of the 2015 prison break in New York State, the series takes a sometimes steely, methodical approach to what is otherwise a spectacular and ultimately violent event, and delivers a nuanced seven-episode series that bristles with tension and draws its characters and circumstances with patience and, when necessary, empathy....

As a matter of fact, throughout the years, the phenomenon that is Harry Potter has only managed to grow – from a series of highly success novels, to a film series of monstrous proportions and now on to a prequel franchise whose potential for growth is already looming large....

Foxconn admits it made a “technical error” that resulted in newly recruited iPhone workers being paid less than they had been promised. The admission follows violent clashes between workers and police at the world’s largest iPhone plant in Zhengzhou, China. Toy manufacturer Funko is going all-out with their upcoming product previews at the 2018 Toy Fair. In addition to several new licenses for their famous Funko Pop! line, 2018 will see Funko producing traditional action figures based on the Harry Potter series and props based on the upcoming film Ready Player One. The Golden Girls is an iconic series, counting people like Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Diana, and Freddie Mercury among its supposed fans. Starring Bea Arthur (Dorothy), Betty White (Rose), Rue McClanahan (Blanche), and Estelle Getty (Sophia), the series ran for seven seasons from 1985-1992, telling the story of four single, older women living in a house together in Miami.
