These risk being a problem in the finished movie. The Lois one is annoying in a trailer for its bait-and-switch in the moment, something that will be more aggravating in the film knowing it’s a fake-out (and, while there’s the possibility this is in fact Superman’s much-teased-but-unseen return, there’s enough evidence it is all in her head). That’s problematic in and of itself - as Superman will be resurrected in Justice League, it’s cheap to have him laid out before - although the second one is more of an issue....

Netflix’s push to add more anime content to its already sizable library will soon include a new Ghost in the Shell series. In addition to the original manga, the popular franchise has already had numerous iterations, including animated films and TV shows, as well as the not-entirely-well-received live-action film starring Scarlett Johansson that was released in 2017. This new version will apparently makes use of “next-generation animation” to give the long-running franchise a little spit polish before it’s presented to the binge-watch crowd....
The latest entry into the celebrated MCU canon, Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange had a fairly tall task in front of it, needing to both serve as an effective origin story for the titular character and seamlessly integrate magic and sorcery into the MCU at large. By most accounts, the good doctor passed this test with flying colors, earning critical and audience raves. Financially, Doctor Strange is also already a sizable box office success, after having been in theaters for less than two weeks total....
What’s the best episode of Doctor Who season 11? This was a historic season, with a new showrunner - Chris Chibnall - and the first ever female Doctor. Jodie Whittaker’s already proved herself to be a great Doctor, with a whimsical air that’s reminiscent of the best Patrick Troughton episodes, and has been back up by a tremendously strong supporting cast, including Bradley Walsh as Graham, who’s become probably the most three-dimensional and well-developed companion in Doctor Who history....
Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot is a curious film. Despite having the most-disliked trailer ever on YouTube, it also recently topped a list of the most anticipated comedies of the summer, but one person who seems to love it is original Ghostbuster Ernie Hudson. Having made a cameo appearance in the film and seen the script, he believes that a lot of naysayers will change their tune once the movie has actually been released....
