First appearing as a second generation action figure for Hasbro, then in G.I. Joe #1 published in 1982 by Marvel Comics, Snake Eyes has quickly become a fan favorite and a staple of G.I. Joe (Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity). He’s the team’s original commando, his rank/grade originally U.S. Army Sergeant/E-5 and is currently Master Sergeant. His real name, origin, age, background, and even his service number are listed under “classified,” and he’s the only Joe who doesn’t rely on guns, but rather his swords and his Ninjutsu skills....

At a recent interview at Sundance Film Festival, Woody Harrelson was asked if he would be playing Han Solo’s mentor, Garris Shrike. Harrelson paused as some murmured about Lucasfilm’s lawyers, before he responded in the affirmative: Yes. Garris Shrike is a Star Wars Legends character who appeared in Ann C. Crispin’s novel The Paradise Snare. The book chronicles the early years of Han Solo, including his youth and teenager years under the wing of Garris Shrike....

Dwayne Johnson confirms that he will not cameo as Black Adam in the Shazam! movie. Johnson was believed to have signed onto the role to be play the main villain in next year’s film, but, somewhere along the line, the plans changed. Now, the magical anti-hero is headlining his own film, Black Adam, before appearing in a future Shazam! sequel. When it came to crafting the fighting style of her character in Ant-Man & the Wasp, Evangeline Lilly made sure to honor the source material. Marvel has already had a stellar year thanks to the runaway success of both Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. The X-Men franchise that revitalized the comic book genre in 2000 and then spent the next two decades slowly dying finally came to an end this summer with the release of Dark Phoenix. A team of Fallout 76 players managed to crash servers with their triple nuke launch. Just a few days ago those same gamers managed a nuke launch into a Fissure Site. The nuke set off a timed event and unleashed the Scorchbeast Queen, the most powerful adversary in the game. The team didn’t stop there and went in search of a new challenge, simultaneous launches. HBO has officially ordered a Game of Thrones prequel TV series pilot written by Jane Goldman. Since its premiere back in 2011, the (very) bloody tale of power struggles and political maneuvering in the fantasy realm of Westeros has easily become HBO’s biggest ratings draw.
