In 1987, Disney began airing a new animated television show based on the Duck Universe comics by Carl Barks, titled DuckTales. In the cartoon, Donald Duck had been raising his apparently-orphaned nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie. In order to join the Navy, Donald needed to find them a new home, so he left the boys with their Great-Uncle Scrooge McDuck. Frequently accompanied by pilot Launchpad McQuack, Scrooge and his nephews went on a series of adventures to either protect Scrooge’s vast fortune or else add to it....

A new version of the Eve motion sensor has been launched, with support for the Apple-backed Thread protocol which enables smart home devices to easily communicate with each other. The Eve Motion also gets an ambient light sensor, which is exposed to HomeKit so can be used to directly trigger actions, with or without motion. Bioware’s Mass Effect trilogy was one of the most critically acclaimed experiences in the last generation of video games. HBO has revealed its first photo of Al Pacino as Joe Paterno in an upcoming movie about the fallen Penn State football coach. Solo: A Star Wars Story star Donald Glover is totally in agreement with the revelation that his character Lando Calrissian is pansexual. Solo screenwriter Jonathan Kasdan recently asserted that he views and wrote Lando as pansexual. According to Kasdan, who wrote Solo: A Star Wars Story with his father Lawrence, Lando is very sexually fluid. There’s no one (or nothing) that Lando wouldn’t be attracted to in the Star Wars universe....

Former BioWare developer James Ohlen doesn’t believe the company’s future as a game developer under Electronic Arts will be impacted by how successful Anthem is. BioWare is not too worried about EA shutting it down, if, for some reason, the upcoming game fails. Anthem is one of the most ambitious titles for BioWare to date. It’s an online action RPG that features stunning visuals and offers a new approach at gameplay and style than most of the studio’s previous titles....

The soundtrack for The Lonely Island Presents: The Unauthorized Bash Brothers Experience combines modern hip-hop trends with old school hip-hop aesthetics. As the latest release from The Lonely Island, the Netflix “visual poem” includes legit party bangers and emotional tracks about self-doubt and self-love. The Unauthorized Bash Brothers Experience stars Andy Samberg and Akiva Schaffer as former MLB stars Jose Canseco and Mark McGwire, respectively. The mockumentary takes place in 1988 Oakland, a time when the Oakland Athletics teammates became known as “The Bash Brothers” - a moniker that references their forearm-to-forearm home run celebrations....

Ultimate next. Nintendo initially blindsided fans with the reveal of Persona 5’s Joker before proceeding to knock the socks off of players with confirmation that Banjo-Kazooie will cross over in Smash Ultimate. The long-rumored Hero from Dragon Quest joined the fray along the way too, and now gamers are wondering who the final two characters of the game’s Fighters Pass will be....

Facebook on Thursday began informing users that Nearby Friends and other location-based features will soon be discontinued at the end of the month. While the reasons are currently unclear, the company claims that all information related to these features will be deleted from Facebook’s servers. Users have been getting a notification in the Facebook app for iOS and Android about the end of Nearby Friends, a feature that lets people share their current location with other Facebook friends....

The beta for Bethesda’s Fallout 76 will include the game in its entirety. What’s more, any progression made will carry over to the launch. Bethesda revealed last month that the beta or B.E.T.A. (Break-It Early Test Application) for the latest installment in the Fallout series is happening this October, a month before the official release. Players lucky enough to get in early can feel confident that all their hard work won’t be lost....

Doctor Who has been missing from our screens for a year now, but it’s soon set to return with its annual Christmas special, followed by season 10 which will air in spring, 2017. Peter Capaldi returns as the Doctor once more, but there is currently a lot of speculation over whether this season will be his last. Showrunner Steven Moffat will step down after the 2017 Christmas special, and despite Capaldi’s revelation that he’s been asked to stay on as the Doctor under incoming showrunner Chris Chibnall, he has yet to confirm that he will do so....
