Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald takes us back to J.K Rowling’s Wizarding world for the second of five Fantastic Beasts movies. The franchise stems from the short book that Rowling wrote under the name of Newt Scamander, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, which was a text that Harry Potter studied at Hogwarts. From this, Rowling has weaved an elaborate web of intricate plotlines and characters, nearly all of which connects back to the Harry Potter universe in some way....

Watch out, major spoilers ahead! The final episode of Game of Thrones has aired and, predictably, it was a controversial end to one of the biggest television shows of all time. However, though there are many unanswered questions, we finally found out who would sit on the Iron Throne after all this. Bran Stark was ultimately chosen for the task, a choice not everyone agrees with. There had been plenty of candidates for the throne over the years, some who fans thought were destined for the position....

Paramount has released the second trailer for Ang Lee’s upcoming sci-fi film, Gemini Man. 2019 has been good to Will Smith so far, with this year’s Aladdin having become the actor’s highest-grossing movie ever, and even earned him some praise for his efforts in bringing Robin Williams’ iconic animated Genie to life in live-action. Up next, Smith will tackle another challenging role - make that roles - in a film that had been in development for some twenty years, prior to Lee and Smith signing on in 2017....

Godzilla: King of the Monsters thoroughly sets up audiences for the highly anticipated next installment in the MonsterVerse, Godzilla vs. Kong. King of the Monsters reminds viewers throughout the movie that King Kong exists in Godzilla’s universe, and by Godzilla:King of the Monsters’ end credits, it becomes obvious that their two worlds are about to collide. Set for a 2020 release, Godzilla vs. Kong is the fourth movie in Legendary’s MonsterVerse....

Maggie Geha’s Ivy will gain her iconic comic book Poison Ivy powers in Gotham season 4, though she won’t complete her transformation into the full-blown supervillain from the comics just yet. The character has had an interesting ride on the series so far: Clare Foley originally played the role as a young peer to Camren Bicondova’s Selina Kyle, but ahead of Gotham season 3 the role was recast, with Geha stepping in to play an older version....

Despite being part of the Gotham cast since the very first episode, Selina Kyle’s character progression has been a slow-burner. A stereotypical street kid, Kyle has flitted in and out of criminal gangs throughout the show’s three seasons and visibly has trust issues - refusing to form relationships with others or stay in one place too long. More recent episodes have shown a softening in Selina’s nature however, and her friendships with Ivy Pepper and Bridgit Pike have come to the fore, showing a different side to the youngster....

The fifth and final season of Fox’s Batman prequel, Gotham, promises lots of big moments for fans of Batman’s iconic imagery. The twelve-episode season (given a boost from the initial order of ten episodes), subtitled “Legend of the Dark Knight,” begins with the city plunged into a familiar scenario for comic book fans; drawing inspiration from the famous comic book arc, No Man’s Land, this season sees Gotham cut off from the rest of the world, with the various gang factions having taken over the city....

Grand Theft Auto 5 was always one of the biggest and the best, but it’s now officially made more money than any other movie, book, or video game. Rockstar’s open world crime ’em up was released way back in 2013 at the tail end of the last video game generation, and immediately earned its place as the best game in the developer’s most well-known franchise. Before too long, the game then moved onto PC and current gen consoles, giving it a further burst of life....

Paramount’s live action movie version of Dora The Explorer has found it’s villain, and it’s not a CGI rendered version of Swiper the Fox. Mexican star Eugenio Derbez is said to be finalizing his deal to star in the live-action flick based on the popular children’s animated series. Dora the Explorer was a massive success amongst preschoolers when it debuted on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr in 2000. It ran for eight seasons and spawned popular spin-off shows Go, Diego Go!...

The Dororo revival has a new trailer showing glimpses of the the malformed ronin Hyakkimaru growing up and embarking on his quest to reclaim the missing parts of his body. As an infant, the warrior was cursed by his father, who sacrificed parts of his son’s body to 48 different demons to ensure victory on the battlefield. This process, however, did not kill Hyakkimaru. Abandoned to die, he was rescued by a kind healer, who gave the child crude prosthetic limbs and raised him to be a capable fighter....

Goku is the shining example of a hero. He always puts the safety of the innocent above his own personal well-being, going so far as to sacrifice his own life on numerous occasions in order to protect those around him. He has saved the Earth, and indeed the universe, on countless occasions, and his strength, perseverance and kindness will be remembered for generations. Except they that he’s not and they shouldn’t, because Goku is actually a terrible, terrible person....

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be receiving the Generation Award at the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards. Johnson is currently busy working on his HBO comedy Ballers, but the hard-working actor also has a handful of films premiering later this year, including Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Jumanji 3 and the 2020 film Jungle Cruise. Johnson is undeniably one of the hardest working people in Hollywood, as he also hosts the NBC sports series The Titan Games, and is busy working as an executive producer on numerous other projects....

Dwayne Johnson uses Black Panther’s box office haul topping Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’s as motivation to work harder. The sequel to the 1995 classic features Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Nick Jonas and Johnson as they expand the lore for a potential new long-running blockbuster franchise for Sony. Black Panther continues to dominate the box office, having already earned $704 million all over the globe in just its 11-day run. It has set a brand new all-time high record for February ($202 million) and posed just a 46....

Season one of the Elon Musk Twitter saga drew to a close yesterday when the billionaire announced that he would proceed with his promised purchase, and the company accepted. But there’s much more to come, of course, even if there is no surprise twist. The latest fun begins with banks starting to sweat over the terms of their own involvement… For anyone who didn’t watch the early episodes, Musk started quietly buying up Twitter shares, was offered and accepted a seat on the company’s board, changed his mind a day later, offered to buy the company, Twitter resisted, then accepted before Musk tried to back out, Twitter sued, and now it’s all going ahead again....

Doctor Who is one of the longest running TV shows in the world, with a history that stems back all the way to 1963. There are many reasons why the British sci-fi drama has lasted so long, one of them being the concept that The Doctor and his/her companions can travel anywhere in time and space, giving nearly unlimited settings and scenarios for our heroes to become entangled with. Another reason why the show has persevered is the concept of regeneration....

Facebook announced today it’s rolling out Facebook Fantasy Games in the US and Canada on its app for iOS and Android. According to the company, they’re “free, simple prediction games that help fans enjoy sports, TV shows, and pop culture content together.” Different from Facebook’s attempt to introduce a gaming platform on the App Store, this time, these are simple games that “bring the social fun of traditional fantasy sports to simpler formats that are easy to play for people new to prediction games....

The Fantastic Beasts sequel has stirred up controversy among Harry Potter fans for a number of significant plot twists, as well as apparent continuity issues. The most controversial plot twist of all is at the tail-end of the film, when Credence’s true identity is finally revealed by dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald....

Fire Emblem: Three Houses has one of its most important decisions presented to players within the first half hour of play - what house should they join? Although the game is explicitly designed to have replay value and strongly encourages fans to go through each of the house’s storylines, that’s reportedly going to take them something in the ballpark of 200 hours of gameplay to do. For people who have a gaming backlog and other responsibilities, that might sound nice but could never materialize as a realistic pursuit, meaning choosing a house in Fire Emblem will be even more crucial....

The first image from the Aquaman movie features Jason Momoa reprising his role from Justice League - though the actor says that film is only the tip of the iceberg. Aquaman’s solo movie is set to be released next year and will give fans more background on the hero torn between two worlds. Aquaman will be directed by James Wan (Furious 7) and stars Momoa alongside Amber Heard as Mera, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, and Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry....
