HBO’s juggernaut hit is currently in production for its eighth and final season that will consist of six, longer episodes. Filming is expected to last until this summer, with season 8 slated to premiere at some point in 2019. With a longer wait time than usual between seasons of Game of Thrones and the show’s conclusion now on the immediate horizon, set photo leaks like these are quite helpful when it comes to keeping fans satisfied....

An 80s-inspired infomercial has just been released by Marvel Studios, in order to celebrate Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’s upcoming home entertainment release. Directed and written by James Gunn, the sequel saw the team of misfits return in a new adventure that would lead them to meet Star Lord’s (Chris Pratt) long lost father, Ego (Kurt Russel). Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) and Baby Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel), with Yondu (Michael Rooker), Nebula (Karen Gillan) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff) also joining in the fun as the squad tries to save the galaxy for the second time....

While not much is known about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, director James Gunn has revealed one thing fans won’t see in the film: A dance-off between Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth). One of the most memorable moments of 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy comes near the end of the film, when Star-Lord challenges villain Ronan (Lee Pace) to a dance-off. Of course, it’s all a distraction so Star-Lord’s teammates could take Ronan out, but the funny moment has stuck in the minds of audiences as a classic example of the humor found in the Guardians films....

A few weeks ago, many Facebook users received odd, spam-like emails with the title, “Your account requires advanced security from Facebook Protect.” Additionally, the email tells users to turn on the Facebook Protect feature by a certain date, or they’d be locked out. Users could turn on the feature by simply clicking a link in the email. According to Meta, Facebook Protect is primarily for people who are likely to be targets of malicious hackers – like human rights defenders, journalists, and government officials....

Apple’s former chief design officer Jony Ive is set to make a rare public interview appearance next week. Wired announced today that Ive will sit down with Anna Wintour on November 9 “to discuss his new endeavors, priorities, the very nature of creativity, ideas, and the future of design as he sees it.” In 2019, Jony Ive departed Apple after more than 20 years to form his own independent design firm called LoveFrom....

Ross wasn’t exactly the most popular character on the sitcom Friends. Paul Feig’s 2016 Ghostbusters reboot has gained a lot of attention for its decision to separate itself from the 1984 original and its sequel in 1989, as well as to cast an all-female team to replace an all-male ensemble. Vicky Krieps is officially joining the cast of The Girl In The Spider’s Web - the next movie in the Millennium series that with David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo in 2011. The Girl In The Spider’s Web is a continuation of the Dragon Tattoo story, based on the book of the same name, but it isn’t a direct sequel to the first film. Instead, it’s a reboot that skips over the events of the first three books to pick up with the fourth installment in the series....

Mongoose recently announced that Maxine ‘Max’ Mayfield from the Netflix’s Stranger Things would be roaming the streets of Hawkins, Indiana on a special edition Mongoose bike. And beginning last week, that very same bike became available to purchase exclusively Target. After receiving creative direction from the Netflix team, Mongoose quickly got to work sourcing period-specific bike parts from local thrift stores and garage sales to erect the bikes used for filming Season 3....

Warning: SPOILERS ahead for Gotham season 5 - Gotham continued this week with the second episode of its fifth and final season, “Trespassers,” and while some mysteries from last week were developed further, plenty of questions still remain. In last week’s premiere, a flashforward scene showed the GCPD, Penguin and Riddler teaming up against an unknown enemy in a ’last stand’ style battle for the city of Gotham. The bulk of the episode, however, was set months prior to that event and found the city just beginning its No Man’s Land period of lawlessness and chaos....

Sony’s starting their own Spider-Man villain shared universe: here’s the upcoming movies they have in store. Spider-Man: Homecoming firmly established Tom Holland’s Peter Parker within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, thanks to a deal between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, but Sony is also developing a sprawling side-universe filled with Spider-Man villains. The studio is prepping Venom, which will star Tom Hardy in the titular role while Silver & Black and Morbius are also in the works....
