Reviews have criticized the sequel to 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them for being overstuffed, but the movie’s trailers offer a glimpse at what ended up on the cutting room floor....

J.K. Rowling continues to explore the history of the wizard world in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. A sequel to 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, this film will see Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander forced to pick a side in the battle against Johnny Depp’s titular Grindelwald. Other stars from the first Fantastic Beasts will also return, including Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, and Katherine Waterston. In addition, this movie will introduce Jude Law as the young Albus Dumbledore....

Fantastic Four actor Ioan Gruffudd wants to join the MCU, but he doesn’t want to reprise his role as Reed Richards. This time he wants to be the bad guy and bring the hurt to the heroes during the next phase of the Marvel Studios films. Speaking in a recent interview, the Welsh actor revealed his super-villain aspirations, and how he would love to follow in the footsteps of Chris Evans and Michael B....

After many months of anticipation, today finally saw the release of Netflix’s heavily hyped revival of Gilmore Girls, subtitled A Year in the Life. Unlike the usual 13-episode season structure of most Netflix original series, A Year in the Life encompasses 4 episodes that each run about 90 minutes in length, with each episode set during and named after one season of the titular year. With family bonds playing such an essential role in Gilmore’s story, it makes perfect sense that Netflix would opt to put the revival out there just in time for the holiday season....

With the release of Glass, M. Night Shyamalan has finally completed the alternative superhero movie trilogy he started 19 years ago with Unbreakable, and Screen Rant’s Ryan George is here to reveal how the pitch meeting (probably) went down. Though he’s had a career of ups and downs, Shyamalan recently made a bit of a comeback with two solidly good movies: The Visit, in which two kids go to stay with the maternal grandparents they’ve never met; and Split, in which three girls are kidnapped by a man with dissociative identity disorder, who is planning to sacrificing them to a terrifying new personality called The Beast....

Annabelle Comes Home is the latest addition to The Conjuring Universe, but does it feature a post-credits scene? The Conjuring hit theaters in 2013 and earned strong reviews, in addition to $319 million at the box office on a $20 million budget. Warner Bros. and New Line wasted little time on getting a franchise going after that, and released the first spinoff-prequel, Annabelle, a year later. The studios have since unveiled another prequel, Annabelle: Creation, that explores the eponymous doll’s origins, in addition to a sequel and a spinoff based around the demonic nun Valak (from The Conjuring 2)....

The Bumblebee feature film from Paramount Pictures, a spinoff from Michael Bay’s Transformers movie franchise, isn’t the only big San Diego Comic-Con exclusive coming to the annual pop culture showcase later this month. Screen Rant is exclusively debuting the Transformers Bumblebee A-Kick Scooter that will be available in an exclusive variant edition at SDCC 2018....

Spider-Man: Far From Home director Jon Watts reveals that he doesn’t know how the MCU’s Spider-Man trilogy will end. Fans have gotten several Spider-Man movies in recent years, including a trilogy from Sam Raimi starring Tobey Maguire and two films from Marc Webb starring Andrew Garfield. After Marvel and Sony finally struck a deal, Spider-Man was allowed to join the MCU with Tom Holland portraying the famous web-slinger. Holland first appeared as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, before getting his own solo film the following year....

Lately, coverage of AMC’s ratings juggernaut Walking Dead franchise has centered on the return of the main series, surprising new turns in character relationships, and a new installment in Telltale’s popular ongoing video game spinoff. But amid all this celebration of the mainline series and its spinoffs, AMC would like you to remember that the “companion prequel” series Fear The Walking Dead is also coming back for a second season on April 10, 2016....

FIFA announced its brand-new streaming service FIFA+ with over 40,000 live matches to be streamed in 2022. The service will also feature Originals with soccer celebrities, such as Ronaldinho, Dani Alves, Ronald Nazário, Romelu Lukaku, Lucy Bronze, Carli Lloyd, and others. The interesting part of the streaming service is that it’s ad-supported, which means, for now, FIFA+ will be completely free. It provides access to live football matches from every corner of the world, interactive games, news, tournament information, and more....

Pixar is about to release the sequel to their 2003 hit, Finding Nemo. Finding Dory picks up with the titular regal tang who suffers from memory loss, six months after the events of Nemo. Dory decides she wants to track down her parents, and Nemo and his dad, Marlin, join him on the journey. If the plot sounds a little familiar, you’d be right. Finding Nemo focused on Marlin’s journey to look for his son when he was taken by scuba divers....

Fortnite is going from strength to strength, reaching the top of the concurrent viewer listings on Twitch and becoming something of a massive cultural phenomenon. When the game’s Battle Royale gameplay was first revealed, many were skeptical over whether the game would be able to have much of a chance against obvious competitor PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, but nonetheless Epic Games has been having a huge impact. This is particularly obvious when it comes to the battleground of Twitch....

Now that HBO is officially giving Game of Thrones a prequel spinoff after the show’s series finale in 2019, rabid speculation is underway. Will the end of George R. R. Martin’s adaptation satisfy audiences with answers to all of its deep-seated mysteries? Or will any hope of answers require dedication to the spinoff (and other future spinoffs to come)? With a number of spinoff concepts in the works, HBO has officially greenlit one of them: a prequel series from Jane Goldman....

Going to the cinema these days, the odds are that the biggest grossing films will be the ones that involve superheroes, are sequels (or trilogies), or in some cases, are reboots/remakes. Though reboots and remakes often face harsh criticism from potential audiences, the fact of the matter is that these types of films are becoming an increasingly less common aspect of the Hollywood arsenal. The truth is that audiences often forget how both the reboot and the remake have always been a part of Hollywood filmmaking....

With Chrome 108, Google is introducing Memory Saver and Energy Saver modes to improve the browser’s performance and extend battery life, respectively. In Settings, you’ll see a new “Performance” menu in the sidebar. The Memory Saver “frees up memory from inactive tabs” so that active websites have the “smoothest possible experience” and other running apps get “more computer resources.” In the address bar, at the right, Chrome will note when “Memory Saver is on” with a speed dial icon....

To mark the 15th anniversary of Street View, Google Maps is rolling out a slew of features including the ability to view historical data on Android and iOS, as well as a new camera system. Google Maps on the web introduced the ability to see older Street View captures in 2014. This ability to “travel back in time” is now coming to the Android and iOS app. Upon launch, there will be a “See more dates” button that opens a carousel of older captures for that location....
