In the process of denying he asked Tim Cook to be CEO of Apple during an alleged conversation about a Tesla acquisition, Elon Musk has turned his attention to Apple’s App Store, saying Epic Games is right and that Apple holds a “de facto global tax on the Internet.” Shortly after news broke about a new book that claims Musk wanted to become CEO of Apple and Cook telling him to “f– off,” Musk shared a few tweets denying the claim and reiterating that he and Cook haven’t ever spoken or written to each other....

Bethesda’s latest RPG epic Fallout 4 has seen strong sales with 12 million copies shipped. Gina Rodriguez is set to guest star on an upcoming episode of the award-winning Fox comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine - potentially as the love interest of Rosa Diaz. The show, now in its fifth season, tells the story of the NYPD detectives in Brooklyn’s 99th precinct lead by Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). A Goldman Sachs executive credited for his work securing the Apple Card deal has left the company. Scott Young, chief commercial officer of Goldman’s Marcus business, will be joining fintech startup iCreditWorks next month. Young has been known as the “deal guy” within Goldman when he first joined the company in 2017. As head of partnerships at the time, he is well known for getting Goldman its partnership with Apple back in 2018....

Back in September, Google previewed how Chat will let you make one-on-one Meet calls without having to use URLs. Similar to classic Hangouts, this feature is now rolling out in the version of Google Chat inside Gmail. When you’re messaging someone from the Chat tab, you will soon see buttons in the top-right corner that let you start an audio or video call. This immediately initiates the call instead of inserting a meeting/invite link in the chat that the other person can click to join....

New allegations of sexual misconduct against Dustin Hoffman have come to light, claiming the actor exposed himself to a minor and sexually assaulted two other women. These allegations come in the wake of three other women recently accusing Hoffman of misconduct. Reports of misconduct against Hoffman originated in October, when a production assistant on Death of a Salesman alleged that Hoffman assaulted her when she was 17. Kathryn Rossetter, Hoffman’s co-star in Death of a Salesman, also alleged Hoffman groped and assaulted her during the play’s production....

In an age where more and more animation is going digital, Aardman Studios, the home of Wallace and Gromit, still likes to do things the old-fashioned way, especially when it comes to stop-motion animation. The studio made a name for itself producing short claymation Wallace and Gromit videos, starting with A Grand Day Out in 1989, growing in scale and complexity until Aardman made Chicken Run - the highest grossing stop-motion movie of all time - in 2000, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit in 2005, and now they’re going even bigger with Early Man....

The first trailer for Halloween 2018 showcases plenty of shocks, suspense, and moments of grisly nostalgic flair, but arguably the most notable takeaway belongs to a single line of dialogue confirming a major Michael Myers retcon. Set 40 years after John Carpenter’s Halloween in 1978, Halloween 2018 will break new ground in the franchise - namely by retconning every other sequel that came before it.
