Marc Newson has joined Apple’s design team under Jony Ive, according to a new report which was confirmed by Apple. The duo have previously worked together to create such products as a special edition red Mac Pro and a similar Lieca M camera, so it’s no surprise to see Newson officially join forces with his good friend at Cupertino. As quoted by Vanity Fair: Newson also gave a statement on his new role, saying that he is “full of admiration and respect for the extraordinary design work that has been produced by Jony and the team at Apple....

Fantastic Beasts is making one of the biggest problems with the Harry Potter movies worse, not better. Counting the prequel series, there have now been ten movies set in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World (with three more at least on the way), together making $7.7 billion worldwide and only one (this year’s Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald) having scored a negative assessment on critic aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. The first piece of official artwork for Square Enix’s upcoming game Shadow of the Tomb Raider has been unveiled, showing Lara Croft armed to the teeth and looking a little worse for wear. Legendary is looking for a new way to reinvent their so called “Monsterverse” that will ultimately include a crossover fight unlike anything seen before on the big screen when Kong and Godzilla clash. Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla in 2014 launched this new universe to mixed results since the movie hid the titular monster throughout a majority of it, instead focusing on the human characters led by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen. However, Kong’s presence in Kong: Skull Island appears to be fairly significant, but even then the studio has put the likes of Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston, and more in as the human leads....
