The forthcoming Halloween reboot will be a sequel to the original movie only, according to series creator John Carpenter. Halloween fans are already aware of how twisted the series’ timeline has become over the years. The original film spawned seven sequels, but that’s not as straightforward as it sounds. Halloween II picked up where the original left off, revealing killer Michael Myers and his victim Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) are actually brother and sister; the movie ended with Myers seemingly dead for good....

A deleted scene from the 2018 reboot of Halloween shows just how awful Michael Myers can be - killing helpless animals as well as helpless teenagers. Following the release of Rob Zombie’s Halloween II in 2009, the series soon found itself in development hell. Zombie’s sequel received mixed reviews and wasn’t as big a hit as his 2007 remake, and while a third movie dubbed Halloween 3D was soon put in development, it was eventually cancelled....

The first Star Wars anthology film, Rogue One, was a well-received $1 billion box office hit, which bodes well for the next spinoff Lucasfilm has on the docket. That would be Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s young Han Solo prequel, which stars Alden Ehrenreich as the fan-favorite smuggler. The directors have spent the past few months rounding out the supporting cast, bringing the likes of Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, and Woody Harrelson on board....

Blumhouse has locked down the cast and filming start date for its horror movie sequel, Happy Death Day 2. Happy Death Day director Christopher Landon already had an idea in mind for a followup before the film hit theaters and will return to helm the sequel from his own screenplay. What exactly that idea is remains a mystery for now, though Happy Death Day star Jessica Rothe previously described Landon’s proposed sequel as a “Back to the Future type of genre film” with more than a dash of horror....

The central plotline of Doctor Who season 12 centered around The Doctor’s archenemy The Master destroying the Time Lord homeworld of Gallifrey, after discovering a dark secret tied to a figure known as The Timeless Child....

Ocean’s 8 returns fans to the Ocean’s Eleven franchise, but does this latest movie have an end-credits scene teasing another installment? Steven Soderbergh’s 2001 movie was itself a remake of the 1960 heist film, but still became a hit all its own. George Clooney and Brad Pitt led an all-star cast in Ocean’s Eleven, as well as its two sequels, Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen. The series saw diminished returns over time and concluded with Thirteen....

The past few months have been a rocky road for The Batman. It all started with rumors that Warner Bros. were fine moving ahead with a shoddy script, and while those were later denied that didn’t stop Ben Affleck’s press tour for the under-performing Live By Night being dominated by questions on updates, leading to a string of rumor rebuttals from the clearly exhausted filmmaker. Everything reached a head in late January when Affleck announced he would no longer be directing the film....

Fans can now get an idea of how Ludi Lin would look as Shang-Chi, courtesy of some new fan art. Known as The Master of Kung Fu, Shang-Chi debuted in 1973 and was created by Steve Englehart and artist Jim Starlin in the wake of Bruce Lee’s surging popularity. In the comics, Shang-Chi is the son of Fu Manchu, and was molded by his father to be a “living weapon.” How much of that will translate from the page to the screen, however, remains unknown - with some believing that instead of Fu Manchu, Shang-Chi’s father should the REAL Mandarin....

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald may touch on Dumbledore’s sexuality and his relationship with Grindelwald after all. The second trailer for Fantastic Beasts 2 has released and (along with a first look at Nicolas Flamel) one shot in particular has got people talking. The character of Grindelwald was introduced to fans of J.K. Rowling’s books back in her first novel, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. There, all Rowling revealed was that Dumbledore had famously dueled the dark wizard in 1945....

While there are currently no plans, Jon Bernthal seems somewhat open to returning as Shane in spinoff series Fear The Walking Dead. Shane Walsh was a major character on the first two seasons of The Walking Dead; he was Rick’s best friend and partner, and took Rick’s wife Lori and son Carl to safety following the zombie outbreak. He began an affair with Lori when they both believed Rick was dead, leading to tensions when Rick returned and took control of the group....

Game of Thrones season 7 will conclude with two of the show’s longest episodes yet. The season starts airing in July, rather than March or April as every previous Game of Thrones season has done, so fans will have to wait a bit longer still to catch up with their favorite characters. Also, there will only be seven episodes in the seventh season, as opposed to 10 for each of the previous six seasons of the series....

[This is a review of Gotham season 3, episode 3. There will be SPOILERS.] - The city is certainly headed for madness on Gotham this season. The “Rise of the Villains” may have been the driving force behind season 2, but it looks like the Gotham rogues gallery just can’t stop expanding. Last week’s episode introduced viewers to proto-Poison Ivy in the form of new cast member Maggie Geha. Now “Look Into My Eyes” brings none other than the Mad Hatter to the forefront....

Gotham star Erin Richards (Barbara Kean) will be directing the show’s 100th episode. The Batman prequel first aired on FOX back in 2014, running for four seasons before it was announced the fifth would be its last. Season 5 is set to premiere in January 2019 and will be the show’s shortest with just twelve episodes. Season 5’s run may be short but it’s already looking to be an exciting one....

With Captain America: Civil War only a month away and new Marvel Studios news hitting every day, fan attention inevitably turns to the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With the hitmaking Disney subsidiary sitting out July this year for the last time in the foreseeable future, the next feature set to hit will be the highly-anticipated supernatural thriller Doctor Strange. There have been a plethora of set pics and costume shots already teased for the movie, but there has yet to be a trailer or even a teaser to give fans an idea of what one of Marvel’s most singularly offbeat creations is going to look like onscreen....

A well-intentioned law to allow digital platforms to detect and report child abuse is likely to itself break European privacy law … Politico reports. The law permitting searches for illegal material is academic in many cases, since many messaging services – including iMessage, FaceTime, and WhatsApp – use end-to-end encryption, meaning there is no way for the company that owns the service to scan user content. That has, predictably, led to renewed technically illiterate calls to outlaw end-to-end encryption....

We learned back in May this year that Apple filed a lawsuit against its former materials lead, Simon Lancaster for allegedly stealing trade secrets about “Project X,” leaking them to the media, and more. Now in new legal documents, it’s surfaced that the Santa Clara District Attorney’s Office has an open criminal investigation into Lancaster regarding Apple’s claims. The criminal investigation included search warrants by the state looking into Lancaster’s online accounts and two of his computers....

Friends is known mostly for being a show full of comedic moments that had fans laughing. While of course Friends is a sitcom, it also made audiences feel connected to the characters. Seeing the main six characters as they went through relationships, breakups, jobs, parenthood, and more made audiences feel a variety of emotions. Along with all of the times that audiences laughed while watching the show, there were also times when it made audiences cry....

Game of Thrones actor Isaac Hempstead-Wright explains how Bran Stark’s powers really work, saying he doesn’t know ’everything’ there is know about the history of the show’s universe. Having an equally troubled time as the rest of those downtrodden Starks, Bran had been thrown from a tower, left out in the cold for a whole season, and battled a frozen army of the undead while the Night King has made him his own pet project....

HBO’s Game Of Thrones is one of the most truly epic and grandiose TV series the world has ever seen. The current climate within the world of entertainment is showing an increase in high quality, large budget TV projects that blur the lines of quality expectation between TV and film. These developments are an expensive business in terms of attracting larger named actors and bigger, better production levels - so the rise of profit munching internet piracy is becoming an incredibly counter intuitive problem for the future of these ground breaking shows....
