The first look at Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming film, The Shape of Water, has finally landed online. Said trailer debuted on the big screen attached to War for the Planet of the Apes, this past weekend. Now, however, the theatrical preview is online for everyone to check out for themselves. Garnering an R-rating, The Shape of Water tackles the story of trapped and isolated Elisa (Sally Hawkins) who works in a hidden high-security government laboratory during the Cold War-era America, circa 1963....

Promising early signs suggested that the market was recovering from a difficult 2020, during which the COVID-19 pandemic hit the region hard causing both supply- and demand-side issues....

Daisy Ridley states fans will know the full story behind Rey’s parentage by the end of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The topic of the young scavenger’s bloodline has been a hot discussion point ever since before The Force Awakens premiered back in 2015. Moviegoers developed a plethora of theories about Rey’s heritage, suggesting she could be a Solo, Skywalker, Kenobi, or even a Palpatine. They had to wait until 2017’s The Last Jedi to get answers, in a scene where Kylo Ren informed Rey (and the audience) that her parents were two junk traders who sold her off for drinking money and are dead in the Jakku desert....

Hit sitcom Full House is one of those shows that makes people smile even just thinking about it. On the air for eight seasons from 1987 until 1995, it was always comforting. No matter what was going on, a fan could catch up with the Tanner family (plus Joey and Uncle Jesse, of course) and feel a lot better if they were having a bad day. It’s a show with famous catchphrases such as Jesse’s “Have mercy” and Michelle’s “You got it dude,” but there are a lot of funny jokes that people don’t recall quite so easily....

[This is a review of the Gotham season 3 premiere. There will be SPOILERS.] In retrospect, Gotham season 2 served largely as a stepping stone from the relatively grounded mob wars of the show’s freshman year into something far more akin to the anything-goes source material of DC Comics. Facebook-owned WhatsApp has been ordered to pay a $266 million penalty for “failing to be transparent about how it handled personal information” under new European Union data protection regulations. As reported by Bloomberg, this is the first time WhatsApp has been fined under the new GDPR law. The fine was handed down by the Irish Data Protection Commission, which said that it found violations in how WhatsApp explained “how it processed users’ and non-users’ data....

Though new release Fifty Shades Freed should win the box office this weekend, its debut is poised to be the lowest of the franchise. After the series of novels by E.L. James became a phenomenon, Universal looked to capitalize on the popularity with movie adaptations. The first of these, Fifty Shades of Grey, was released over Valentine’s Day weekend in 2015, bringing in $85.1 million (at the time, a February record) over the course of its first three days....

This weekend, Pixar will release the sequel to Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, in theaters. Placing the titular lovable blue tang fish in the spotlight, it tells the story of Dory trying to find her family. In January 2016, Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat announced that he would be stepping down from his role at the end of season 10. That tenth season is still some way off, not arriving on our screens until Spring 2017, after the traditional Christmas Special which will air in December of this year. After Moffat’s swansong, fellow Doctor Who writer Chris Chibnall will take over as showrunnner, giving him time to finish his tenure as showrunner of ITV’s Broadchurch....

HBO’s upcoming limited series The Undoing is shaping up to be an impressive event, as Donald Sutherland has joined the cast alongside star Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant. Kidman has been involved in the series from the start, as she’ll not only star in the psychological thriller but she’s credited as an executive producer as well. With Kidman attached to a high-profile HBO event series, it wasn’t too surprising for the project attract some top-notch talent, which it continues to do with news of Sutherland joining the cast....
