The cast of Goosebumps 2 keeps expanding, bringing Ken Jeong, Chris Parnell, and Wendi McLendon-Covey on board. Back in 2015, Sony brought some of R.L Stine’s stories to the big screen with Goosebumps, starring Jack Black as a fictionalized version of Stine. The film managed to please fans of the book series with its combination of kid-friendly horror stories and characters from Stine’s books, such as Slappy the Dummy. A sequel has been in the works for a few years, and after a change in directors and rumours of Black not reprising his role as Stine due to scheduling conflicts (though he is expected to voice Slappy again), the film could be ready to move on from pre-production limbo soon....

Marking the directorial debut of longtime X-Men films producer Simon Kinberg, the forthcoming superhero film from Fox is said to be more grounded than past films and darker than X-Men: Apocalypse.
