Anker’s Eufy brand claims to keep data local, but a security researcher has exposed that the claim is far from true, with footage not only going to the cloud, but remaining visible even after it was supposed to be deleted. Eufy sells several of its security cameras with the promise that video footage and other data are local only, explicitly saying “no one has access to your data but you” on its website....

A new series of ridiculous fan posters replaces movie icon Tom Cruise with the 1980s live action version of Howard the Duck. Created by Steve Gerber and Val Mayerick, Howard the Duck first appeared in the Marvel Comic Adventure Into Fear in 1973. A foul-tempered talking alien duck stuck on earth, Howard would make several appearances in subsequent years, in stories that often took on a decidedly satirical bent. Writer-director James Gunn’s firing over years-old offensive tweets has prompted Guardians of the Galaxy star Michael Rooker to quit Twitter. Gunn was let go by Disney on Friday after a number of his tweets, all posted before he went to work on the first Guardians of the Galaxy film, resurfaced and touched off a firestorm.
