The hype for Alex Proyas’ fantasy-action film Gods of Egypt has been largely overshadowed by controversy over its not particularly Egyptian-looking cast, but the feature was originally angling to be known for its unique visual aesthetic and focus on the under-utilized (onscreen) mythology of Ancient Egypt; including armored gods, huge snake-like monsters and retro-futuristic architecture. Those qualities are once again on display in a new Gods of Egypt trailer cut for audiences in the UK, which attempts to refocus attention on the film’s story and action scenes....
Godzilla vs. Kong is part of Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ shared cinematic universe, which began in 2014 with Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla, and continued in Kong: Skull Island, which introduced the new version of King Kong. Next up in the franchise is Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which will pit Godzilla against his fellow Titan, King Ghidorah, and possibly against the fiery wrath of Rodan as well. The original Halloween began life as The Babysitter Murders, with the movie’s producer feeling young audiences could easily relate to a scary movie based around babysitting. He hired John Carpenter to write and direct it, and during development, the idea came to set the story on Halloween night and rename the movie accordingly....

Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama doesn’t really understand how his beloved series became as popular as it has. In his defense, few could have predicted how big the franchise would become when it first debuted as a serialized manga in the pages of Weekly Shōnen Jump back in 1984.
