It hasn’t been a particularly jolly December for Fortnite developer Epic Games. The studio is being sued by multiple interested parties thanks to Fortnite’s liberal use of dance in-game emotes, many of which have been based on popular moves created by members of the music, television, or film industries. Fortnite is still one of the most successful games on the planet, and continues to rake in enough cash that Epic Games felt comfortable launching its own digital distribution platform earlier this month....

With the release of their first cast photo for the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Warner Bros. have set in motion the rest of the extended universe for this Harry Potter spin-off. The first film was something of a risk for the studio - Harry Potter is popular but there was no guarantee fans would turn out in their record breaking numbers to make a series with no familiar characters successful - but with a $814m worldwide gross to its name (the 8th highest grossing film of the year), it was inevitable that the planned 5-film saga would be given an opportunity to reach its bombastic conclusion....

Fargo fans are in for a treat as the full cast and character list for season 4 of the FX show has just been revealed. Created by Noah Hawley and inspired by the Coen Brothers movie of the same name, Fargo’s first season premiered in 2014 and went on to win two Emmys. Season 2 and season 3 of Fargo continued the first season’s winning formula, and while they didn’t nab any Emmys, they received several nominations and were showered with praise by critics....

The NBC sitcom Friends will always be known as one of the best tv shows of all time. While it contained many of television’s most memorable moments, it wasn’t without its flaws. While there may have been awkward moments like Monica’s fat suit, Phoebe revealing herself to be a former mugger, or Tom Selleck appearing sans mustache, the show still made itself memorable by the chemistry between its wonderful cast. While most people tend to focus on the traditional couples of the show, like Monica and Chander, or Ross and Rachel, the unsung heroes of the show might just be Joey and Phoebe....

Game of Thrones ended with a king whom few fans would have predicted: Bran Stark, the Three-Eyed Raven, on the Iron Throne. Or, technically, King without the Throne - as Drogon decided to melt the throne of swords into nothing before leaving King’s Landing. Bran was elected by the Lords and Ladies representing the Seven Kingdoms (now Six Kingdoms, thanks to Queen in the North Sansa), after a rousing speech from Tyrion about the need for a ruler with a good story, to capture the imagination of the people and keep Westeros safe....

One of the best-known villains in the Batman mythology, Poison Ivy has made surprisingly few live-action appearances, although she’s heavily featured in the animated DC universe. She’s only appeared in a single live-action movie – the appalling Batman and Robin, where Uma Thurman brought Pamela Isley to life as one of the villains George Clooney and his bat-nipples had to defeat. More recently, Ivy has appeared in Fox’s Gotham, but she’s far from the vampy villainess that we know and love....

Cory Michael Smith has portrayed Ed Nygma in Gotham since the series debuted in 2014 but thus far in the show’s fifth and final season, the character has been caught in a bitter battle between his own persona and that of his alter-ego, the Riddler....

Star Wars fans are already counting down the days until The Last Jedi reaches theaters, but Lucasfilm is looking ahead to the next film on their slate. Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller recently began principal photography on their young Han Solo movie, the second standalone spinoff in the franchise. One of the project’s strongest assets is undoubtedly the all-star ensemble cast, which includes Alden Ehrenreich as Captain Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke as the mysterious female lead, and Woody Harrelson as Han’s mentor....

The last 18 years have seen the late, great Stan Lee reacquire his cult status due to a series of tremendous big-screen cameos. Lee had always believed that his Marvel superhero franchises had the potential to conquer Hollywood, and he lived to see himself proved right, not only celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but seeing how far the X-Men and Spider-Man franchises have come as well....

Netflix has cancelled Everything Sucks! after just one season. The ’90s-set coming-of-age dramedy hit some good notes in its first and only batch of season, but ultimately, found itself on the chopping block at the streaming giant. The show, starring newcomers Jahi Winston and Peyton Kennedy, drew mainly favorable reviews despite also drawing criticism for its over-reliance on ’90s nostalgia. It appears that the nostalgia factor helped doom Everything Sucks! in the end....

Ewan McGregor is playing a grown-up Danny Torrance in the movie adaptation of Stephen King’s The Shining sequel novel, Doctor Sleep. Warner Bros. began developing the film version of King’s Shining followup back in 2016, but it wasn’t until last year’s IT became a massive box office success that the studio put the project on the fast-track for development. Oculus and Gerald’s Game director Mike Flanagan has since signed on to cowrite and helm the movie - having already expressed his desire to adapt Doctor Sleep for the big screen - and the film got an official 2020 release date from WB just last month....

As AMC fires up its marketing campaign for Fear The Walking Dead season 4, a series of new promos have released that focus on series newcomers Lennie James and Maggie Grace, who are both joining the show in the latest season. Audiences have known for quite some time now that James’ Morgan Jones will be picking up his stick and moving from The Walking Dead over to its sister show, Fear The Walking Dead....

As for whether Fleabag will return for season 3, Waller-Bridge has left the door open, telling the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour in February (via THR) that although she’s put the series to bed, just as she did after season 1, “I may be surprised again.” Certainly, it didn’t seem Waller-Bridge would continue Fleabag’s story after the first season, which was based on a play she also wrote, but then season 2 arrived - though nearly three years later....

New market data shows that the Fortnite mobile app has recently surpassed 100 million downloads. While the app is currently only available to iOS users, the games still reached the download benchmark in just 138 days. Fortnite is among the most popular battle royale-style games, pitting 100 players against each other on a map where the last person standing in the shootout wins. The game has been available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Mac devices for about a year, but the free-to-play mobile app – offering the same style of gameplay – has been available for less than five months....

With its Galaxy Watch 4 series, Samsung has quietly dropped support for iOS.
