The Google Chrome icon is in the process of being updated and modernized for the first time in eight years. This is meant to better “align with Google’s more modern brand expression,” with the company now optimizing the logo for each operating system. In 2011, the original 2008 logo was greatly flattened and no longer explicitly three-dimensional. Google modernized the logo three years later to further that trend, and is going all the way in 2022....

[This is a review of Gotham season 2, episode 19. There will be SPOILERS.] - Gotham finally pulled its wild card in last week’s episode, with disgraced Mayor Theo Galavan (James Frain) raised from the dead to (presumably) wreak havoc on the city. The character – who served as the big bad for the first half of season 2 – even shouted out his new moniker, which sounded more than a little familiar to fans of DC Comics....

It turns out Stranger Things is the reason that David Harbour was cast as Hellboy after all, at least if you ask him. The news came early last month - seemingly out of nowhere, and much to the shock, dismay, excitement, and every other emotional on the spectrum spectrum of longtime fans of the property - that the comic book character would be receiving another shot at life on the big screen in Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen....

Warning: SPOILERS ahead for The Walking Dead TV show and comics - The Walking Dead dropped a veritable bombshell in the midseason finale when it effectively killed off one of its most important and long-standing characters: Carl Grimes. In this year’s mid-season finale, “How It’s Gotta Be,” Rick’s alliance faced the wrath of Negan’s Saviors and they held nothing back, pelting Alexandria with a vicious stream of explosives in retaliation for the attack on The Sanctuary....

Dog the Bounty Hunter’s Beth Chapman passed away at the age of 51. After being diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer, she was initially hospitalized due to breathing difficulties, and was then placed in a medically-induced coma by doctors. Beth endured a similar situation in April and was rushed to the hospital, though she was sent home shortly thereafter when the issue cleared up. Beth has experienced a long battle with throat cancer, undergoing aggressive chemotherapy after it returned in November....

During its Connect 2021 conference keynote today, Facebook spent a lot of time diving into the “metaverse” – its in the works mixed-reality platform. And along with that, as expected, it announced a major rebrand to “Meta” with the goal of the new name to “encompass everything” it does. CEO Mark Zuckerberg and a variety of other executives led the Connect 2021 keynote. Much of the time was spent diving further into the details of what Facebook Reality Labs is envisioning with its mixed reality metaverse....

Few things can be as daunting as the premise of wandering the nuclear wastelands in the hopes of collecting everything and getting a 100% completion in Fallout 76. Bethesda Softworks’ Fallout 76 may focus on multiplayer as a key selling point, but the world is still loaded with a number of noteworthy points of interest, side quests, and collectibles that gamers would struggle for countless hours to find – provided they didn’t have a little help....

Jake Gyllenhaal is trolling fans over his role as Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Marvel Studios and Sony are doing their best to ensure that their new Spider-Man movies are unlike what has come before. This has already been achieved with an actual teenage Peter Parker, diversifying the characters around him, letting him interact with other Marvel heroes, and by using villains who haven’t been on the big screen before....

The Fast & Furious franchise continues to move forward with a lot of success. The once laughed at films have become some of the biggest action movies in history. This newfound reputation has resulted in bigger name talents attaching themselves to this franchise, a trend started with The Rock’s joining for Fast Five. Since then, Luke Evans, Jason Statham, and Kurt Russell have all played roles, and the latter two will be back for The Fate of the Furious....

George Lucas thinks his abandoned plans for Star Wars Episodes VII-IX wouldn’t have gone down well with fans. Despite creating beloved franchises like Star Wars and Indiana Jones, Lucas has become a divisive figure in popular culture. This began in earnest with Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace; anticipation for this prequel was sky high in 1999, but despite featuring some groundbreaking effects, it was roundly lambasted for a dull story, stilted acting and for unleashing the horrors of Jar Jar Binks upon the world....

Gerard Butler’s long-held passion project Afterburn is finally moving ahead. While Butler made an impression in the early stages of his career with supporting turns in the likes of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle Of Life, it wasn’t until 300 that he became a star in his own right. Leonidas became an instantly iconic character, and Butler would spend the next few years jumping from action films to romantic comedies....

In a new international trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s Glass, dissociative identity disorder patient Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy) unleashes his most dangerous personality: The Beast. Glass is the sequel to last year’s Split, which - in a surprise ending twist - revealed itself to be set in the same universe as Shyamalan’s 2000 film Unbreakable, about a man called David Dunn (Bruce Willis) who discovers he is immune to physical injury in the wake of a devastating train crash....

Humanity’s response to the events of the 2014 Godzilla reboot will be an important part of the plot for next year’s sequel, Godzilla: King of the Monsters. In fact, according to King of the Monsters director Michael Dougherty, everyone is “overreacting” to the revelation that MUTOs (Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organisms, for those who are a little rusty on their MonsterVerse terminology) exist by the time the film picks up - some five years after Gojira unleashed his holy atomic breath for the entire world to behold....

[UPDATE: Marvel wants to rehire James Gunn - just not for Guardians 3.] - Disney is meeting with director James Gunn about potentially rehiring him for Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, according to a new rumor. Gunn was fired from Guardians of the Galaxy 3 earlier this month after old tweets of his were resurfaced by far-right conservative sites and personalities. The tweets themselves included references to rape and pedophilia, and jokes about controversial topics like the Holocaust, 9/11 and AIDS....

Following the departure of acclaimed Japanese video game designer, screenwriter, director, and producer Hideo Kojima from his former partnership with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain publisher Konami, there’s been plenty of speculation and news surrounding his upcoming comeback project, Death Stranding. The first teaser trailer for the new game offered potential players an enigmatic glimpse of lead actor Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead) set against a beach awash with various dead fish and other marine animals - in addition to a disappearing infant child held in Reed’s clutches, however briefly....

Apple has been working hard to increase the security of its operating systems and devices, and this has been proven considering that hackers had a hard time creating a jailbreak tool for iOS 15. But those who are enthusiastic about modifying iOS can now celebrate, as the palera1n team has released a jailbreak tool compatible not only with iOS 15 but also with iOS 16. For those unfamiliar, the jailbreak process removes software restrictions on iOS devices so that the user can access and modify system files, which enables all kinds of modifications such as tweaks, themes, and sideloading of apps outside of the App Store....

Doom director Tony Giglio has denied reports Doomguy won’t make an appearance in the new movie. Doom is one of the most prominent video game franchises in history, with the original 1993 game being responsible for making first-person shooters one of the most dominant gaming genres on the planet. The games are relatively light on plot, but typically feature an unnamed hero – dubbed Doomguy – who must rip and tear his way through hordes of demons on a Mars base....

Even though Dragon Ball wasn’t always about huge upgrades in power levels, as the franchise has gone on over the years, new transformations have become some of the most prominent moments to look forward to.
