Last Updated: March 23, 2021 In the wake of the critical and financial disappointment of 2017’s Justice League, the DC Extended Universe headed in a different direction, including dropping the original plans for Justice League 2. After two divisive installments with Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, Warner Bros. executives were getting nervous about Zack Snyder doing another DC movie. He started work on Justice League shortly after the release of Batman v Superman, completing principal photography, but an early screening made WB executives jumpy, leading to pressure on Snyder to make a lighter, more optimistic movie, eventually resulting in him being fired from the project....

Game Of Thrones is, essentially, about noble houses fighting for control of the Iron Throne and getting into other spats and conflicts with each other. Of course, there are the White Walkers at the edge of the map closing in (and I have a funny feeling those will bring the end conclusion), but the show and books mostly revolve around the families, their history and relationships. With so many houses trying to take control of a throne, it’s obvious that they need to be extremely powerful to even begin to compete....

Forbes released their list of the 10 highest paid actors of the year, with George Clooney taking the top spot in a rather ironic fashion. Mark Wahlberg topped the list in 2017 with $68 million, just edging out Dwayne Johnson’s $65 million. This year, however, Wahlberg was nowhere to be found, at least in the top 10, while Johnson managed to nearly double is pre-tax income from last year. Forbes has put out a list of the highest-earning celebrities, dubbed the Celebrity 100, since 1999, which breaks down how much each celebrity earned, and where it came from....

As Star Wars: The Force Awakens continues to be a box-office smash hit, many of its creators, actors, etc. are probably resting, relieved to be away from a long press tour and pre-release anxiety. But one creator who doesn’t seem too happy is George Lucas, the visionary behind the entire saga. Lucas sold his idea for Episode VII to Disney with the rest of Lucasfilm in 2012, and it appears that his ideas were not what Disney was interested in making....

A replica of DC Comics location Gotham City will be coming to Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, ready to immerse fans of Batman into the superhero’s world. The city will be a part of the planned indoor amusement park that will also include locations based on Bedrock from The Flintstones, recreations of famous Looney Tunes locations, and Metropolis, Gotham’s neighbor in the DC comics universe spotlighting Superman and the Justice League....

With the impending release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it’s becoming more and more obvious that we will be seeing a cinematic version of the Justice League fully assembled much sooner than previously assumed. While Ben Affleck’s Batman and Henry Cavill’s Superman will indeed go toe-to-toe, it’s also been established that Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, Ezra Miller’s Flash, and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman will show up to varying degrees before the credits roll....

Fans of the Grand Theft Auto series have noticed a new, unlisted video has been added to Rockstar’s official YouTube account, furthering rumors that information about Grand Theft Auto 6 may be coming soon. Although the company has remained characteristically silent on all of the current rumors of a possible upcoming announcement about their latest project, that hasn’t stopped players from looking at any signs of activity from Rockstar which may indicate possible GTA6 release date information....

The BBC has issued a response to criticisms about Jodie Whittaker’s casting as the new lead on Doctor Who. Every few years, the BBC has to recast one of their most popular characters. The Doctor from Doctor Who is a Time Lord, an alien who upon dying regenerates into a new body. Since the first time The Doctor regenerated - in 1966 - there have been 13 actors who have had a turn playing the role....

Moon director Duncan Jones’ new film Mute has received an official premiere date from Netflix. The sci-fi thriller will hit the streaming service on February 23rd, 2018. Alexander Skarsgård, Justin Theroux and Paul Rudd head up the cast. Seyneb Salah, Nikki Lamborn, Ulf Herrman also star. Sam Rockwell reportedly has a cameo as his Moon character Sam Bell. Mute acts as the second part of a planned trilogy beginning with Moon and ending with an unannounced third film....

The Arrowverse’s Lois Lane, Elizabeth Tulloch, wants her version of the character and Superman to get their own spinoff. Tulloch’s Lois was introduced in the first part of the DC TV multiverse’s annual crossover event, this year titled “Elseworlds.” Lois, alongside the returning character of Clark Kent/Superman, made her debut on The Flash, as Barry Allen and Oliver Queen traveled to Supergirl’s Earth to try and figure out why the two of them had been “body swapped....

We’re still awaiting a US ruling in the Epic Games antitrust case against Apple, but the games company has now received the go-ahead to take the same case to court in Australia. Apple had successfully blocked legal proceedings in the country, arguing that the matter was already being decided in the US, but Epic has now managed to get that ruling overturned – at least, for now … Background There can’t be many people in the tech world who aren’t aware of the basics in the dispute....

The Adventures of Forager #6 debuts this week from DC’s Young Animal imprint and Screen Rant has an exclusive preview of the final issue written by Lee Allred (BATMAN ’66) and featuring art and a cover by Mike Allred (Silver Surfer) with colors by Laura Allred (Lady Killer). That’s right, the whole Eisner Award-winning Allred family! The new six-issue Young Animal miniseries launched in May and follows Forager who is just one of the Hive before breaking out of his cocoon and finding himself in a mysterious house in an unknown realm....

LEGO has officially unveiled its new Star Wars Millennium Falcon building block set, which ranks as company’s largest set ever. Star Wars, of course, revolutionized the movie merchandising industry after the first film in the saga came out in 1977, first by granting the toy company Kenner (later acquired by Hasbro) the license to release 3 3/4-inch action figures of such characters as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo and Darth Vader....

The second season of Game of Thrones hinted at the existence of a resistance group known as the Brotherhood Without Banners. Tywin Lannister hears reports of his supply lines being harassed and his troops being ambushed by a group of outlaws, led by a man that several of his soldiers had claimed to have killed already. Arya Stark finally meets the Brotherhood in Season 3 of Game of Thrones. We are introduced to Beric, the leader of the group who keeps coming back from the dead, Thoros, the false priest who found his faith (and a received a bunch of cool supernatural powers), and Anguy, the master archer....

Looking back on Game of Thrones, it appears that Bran had been plotting to be king since season 4. It came as quite a shock when Bran was elected the new king of Westeros. For most of the show’s run, many fans assumed Jon Snow or Daenerys Targaryen would rule over the Seven Kingdoms. While Arya Stark ending up as ruler would have been the kind of subversion the show was known for, Bran was far from the top of most people’s predictions....

For people who grew up in the ’90s, there were a few TV shows that are considered staples. There was the loveable cartoon Arthur and, in a totally opposite genre, there was Goosebumps. The TV series, based on the books of the same name by beloved author R.L. Stine, lasted for four seasons from 1995 until 1998.
