We have all taken the blow when key, beloved characters unexpectedly dropped off - but some major players were so universally hated that we all cheered instead. One of those hated characters was Joffrey Baratheon, one-time king, chopper of Ned’s head, and all-around horrible human being....

With the launch of iOS 15 and iPad OS 15, Google announced a handful of app updates to support the latest platform features today. This includes new XL widgets, Focus mode, and Spotlight support. On the homescreen, Google Photos and YouTube Music will be rolling out extra-large widgets. The streaming service sees album/playlist artwork appear at the left, while you get a 4×2 grid of additional suggestions on the right. Meanwhile, the Photos widget will show a wide landscape image from your library....

The popular notes and task management platform Evernote announced this week a new feature called “Offline Notes.” As the name suggests, users will now be able to download their notes with all their content to access them on Evernote’s mobile app when there’s no Wi-Fi or cellular connection available. Prior to the premiere of Supergirl on CBS in the fall of 2015, fans speculated about whether Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) would ever crossover with The CW’s slate of DC TV shows: Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow. Godzilla last stormed across movie screens in 2014 in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story director Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla. Legendary comic creator Grant Morrison is taking the Green Lantern comic book and turning it into a police procedural series set in space. Morrison will be joined on the new series by artist Liam Sharp, whose work was most recently seen on Wonder Woman. The new series will focus on Earthman Hal Jordan and his job as a police officer patrolling alien worlds. Established by the mystic Guardians of the Universe, The Green Lantern Corps is one of the oldest peace-keeping forces in the DC Comics’ universe and usually the most well-trusted....

The debut game from V1 Interactive, the studio headed by Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto, is a sci-fi first-person shooter called Disintegration. Lehto previously worked on games such as the pre-343 Industries Halo titles. Lehto began working at Bungie in 1997 as art director, where he co-created the concept for Halo: Combat Evolved, leading to Microsoft’s acquisition of the studio. He worked as art director for Halo 2 and Halo 3 after that, and as an art director consultant on Halo: ODST....

When you’re known as the “greatest action cartoon of all time,” you’re expected to deliver on that promise, and the Dragon Ball franchise does exactly that. While the original Dragon Ball had its fair share of epic battles, it was the follow-up series, Dragon Ball Z, that truly upped the ante in terms of savage, world-defining battles between heroes and villains. A whole host of Marvel TV shows are expecting to release exclusively on the Disney streaming service, Disney Play. Disney intends to launch their new service, a rival for Netflix, late next year. It’s considered the Mouse House’s biggest, strategic priority once the Disney/Fox acquisition is complete, and every Disney subsidiary is expected to play its part. It’s as yet unclear whether or not Disney intend these shows to drop an entire season at a time, as with Netflix, or whether they’ll instead choose a more traditional weekly drop....
