Paramount has set a May 2019 release date for its biographical Elton John film, Rocketman. A movie about the fabulously flamboyant singer, songwriter, and composer has been awhile in the making, with several big names floated to play Elton at various points in the past. Doom Eternal, the next video game installment in the Doom franchise, is coming to Nintendo Switch. Nintendo’s relationship with Doom is relatively new. While the original Doom released on the Super Nintendo and a Doom exclusive was created for the Nintendo 64, the hellspawn franchise has been mostly absent from the House of Mario in recent years. This changed when 2016’s Doom reboot was (successfully) ported to the Nintendo Switch in late 2017....

Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball FighterZ has already hit another landmark by selling 2.5 million copies, thus making it the 4th best-selling game in the franchise. Released in January and developed by Arc System Works, Dragon Ball FighterZ is a 2.5D fighting game that allows players to assemble teams of their favorite characters for three-on-three tag battles, in the style of the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise. Apple confirmed today in a press release that the new satellite features for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will indeed launch in November for customers in the United States and Canada, as originally announced. When out of cell service, iPhone 14 users will be able to connect to a satellite overhead to send a short emergency text message, and share their location with family. Apple today announced a $450 million investment, as part of the Advanced Manufacturing Fund, to support the satellite features....

The ninth season of the anthology series, American Horror Story, is on its way. So far the seasons have taken us through murder houses, insane asylums, tragic circuses, New Orleans witches, vampire hotels, the missing colony of Roanoke, the 2016 election, and a nuclear apocalypse. Now, this upcoming season is called 1984. Based on past performances, the acting in this horror series tends to be stunning. However, they are losing some of the faces that are seen as classic American Horror Story actors....

Both the Facebook and Twitch messes were caused by configuration errors, admit the companies. Fear the Walking Dead’s season 5 midseason finale made zero sense, and it ended up being quite anticlimactic because of the writing (and story) issues. Admittedly, Fear the Walking Dead got off to a relatively decent start this season, and the writers and producers have even managed to introduce intriguing elements into the overarching franchise, such as irradiated zombies. But overall, there have been quite a few problems; one of them is that characters tend to say and find themselves in situations that make no sense....
